I can't help but wonder if they make Klaw the grandson/great-grandson of Red Skull. After all, in the comics he's either the son of/grandson of an SS officer, or something like that. Since Red Skull probably isn't coming back (though it's not impossible), this is most likely the closest we'll get.

Michael Jordan is everywhere. And that officially seals any hope for F4 2....uh...the fourth F4. But he joined the good side.

I am sure Freeman and Serkis will get a scene. Just because they are on opposite sides and Freeman is a big profile character...he might just gloat once more...which is awesome still.

I want to see Ross and Strange meet, just cuz three times is the charm for eggs Benedict and Freeman.

I doubt Klaw will be his kid. We don't exactly know where Skull goes but it doesn't seem like Earth. He would have been a neat Collector piece like Stan Lee was supposed to be.

It's actually would have been the 5th(!) F4 movie if you count the officially unreleased Roger Corman as the first one. But considering how Fox & Josh Trank rendered the F4 toxic, at least in the hands of Fox, there was never going to be a sequel to a movie that was considered one of the worst, if not THE worst, of 2015. Even if they found the best people to either make a sequel or reboot it again (of course), the fan base would have never trusted Fox and it would bombed even worse.

Speaking of which, is it possible that the Corman movie will EVER get an official release on DVD?

Not really. That movie was neither produced by Fox nor Marvel and it likely wouldn't be worth the money for assumed Marvel to release it (well besides the fact they'd start off with a loss by having to pay off Fox to release that film--I am speculating Marvel had it as Arad purchased the film and destroyed copies to protect the brand). Aside from the trailers that have been released and perhaps a recording of the SDCC event, the only way to see anything of the film is to illegally find recorded copies of it somewhere. Unfortunately that is illegal.

Yeah, I did hear that bootlegs are the only way how to get them. I heard Brad Jones say that version is the best when he and Dave reviewed the 2015 mess. Go figure. The movie they destroyed to protect the brand was the best one made to date while the worst one is still out on DVD and Blu-Ray for whole world to see how it destroyed the brand, at least with Fox.

Ironic isn't it?

The New York Times killed off it's best selling comics page.

Declining comic sales had to have been a huge reason.

I find the irony very funny. A dinosaur killed off a section about a dinosaur because the latter dinosaur may be flagging in sales. NYT is about as relevant now as comics apparently are--if you didn't get my original meaning. I think the public cares as much about the Times doing that as much as they care about the Times....not so much.

Yeah they just need Hugh Jackman to sign off. The dude has been looking for an out since before Days of Future Past.

I still wonder when Disney is going to take charge over the comics division and stops the SJW crap that the comics have been preaching. Just because Disney is in another golden age doesn't mean that they can allow the comics to keep on sinking. It has to end sooner or later.

Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph have been confirmed to be 'Cloak and Dagger' in the Marvel/Freeform TV series.

Disney won't touch anything unless they hemorrhage money and/or Bob Iger is out as CEO. He has a policy of letting subsidiaries do their thing. Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm Ltd. are symbols of that.

I don't think he has forcibly taken command of any of them besides asserting a deadline for movies to get out.

But aren't the comics already hemorrhaging cash as it is? Also, how much money percentage wise does Sony have to share money with Disney/Marvel Studios via the new Spider Man money?

I don't think they are a major division to Disney. And comics were already pretty low sellers at this point (at the time they bought Marvel as well) unless you are Batman. But maybe I am wrong.

I am not sure, but I am guessing a bit. Sony is essentially getting free cash though as they don't have to spend to develop or produce movies, just sit back while Marvel and Disney do the grunt work. I would wager north of 50% for Spider-man but not much more. Then again it could be delegated by cash per country or something (Sony gets 65% of the US and Disney gets 60% of China, etc idk).

Given that we now know just how much trouble Sony is in, I can't help but wonder how much money it needs to make for the head honchos at Sony to be happy. If it's 50/50 then it needs to make at least $800 million for it to work for Sony. Marvel Studios can afford a lower then expected return via all their other films more then making up for that, but Sony can't.

Alternate Armored Star Lord/Peter Quill art is released.

These were designs for the first 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'. I actually really like the armor designs since it fits him being a scavenger in space while not taking anything away from the basic idea.

Here's the Super Bowl trailer for Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2. From what I've seen, it was the best commercial of the Super Bowl. I can see why.

I'm starting to wonder just how darn crowded Infinity War is going to be... Marvel's track record is impressive on the whole, but this movie is getting so big that it could potentially start crumbling under it's own weight. I felt that Markus and McFeely dropped the ball in certain areas of Civil War with their handling on Cap and Tony, and it still felt crowded but not really connected. The Spider-Man scenes felt like products of re-shoots. If Marvel allow this one to be longer than even their longest films, then they may be able to knock it out of the park. Worst case scenario, realistically, is a repeat of the divisiveness surrounding Age of Ultron.

To be fair, it's going to take everything needed to take down Thanos. Giving how he's basically the Emperor of the Universe (Think Lord Zedd or Shao Kahn with a body size, strength, and durability comparable to Doomsday.) in the Marvel Comics, they need all these heroes and heroines to make him be stronger. My real question is how the Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel movie is going to work since it takes place after Avengers: Infinity War.

with your comparisons there in mind, Rhedo, Thanos is actually Marvel's version of Darkseid Wink that's not a supposition, he was explicitly made as their equivalent to him, was even originally gonna be based more on Metron but the higher-ups insisted on making him like Darkseid because he was more popular

Infinity War is a two parter. The movie will essentially be 5 hrs but split in two. More than enough time for characterization and for decent screentime for everyone if you look at the whole. That said I find it hard for people to be satisfied with them as standalone movies and may be some of the lowest rated films in the MCU rather unjustly....then again IIRC people didn't mind Harry Potter and looked those the right way.

So far, the early reviews for Logan have been overwhelmingly positive. A 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Simon Kinberg is going to write and direct X-Men 7 Supernova.

Wasn't this guy one of the main factors behind Fant4stic? If so, then why is he still with Fox?

Yeah, why in the hell are they putting so much damn faith in Simon Kinberg! Do they want a repeat of the Brett Ratner situation? Rothman might not be around to make life hell for the X-Men production team, but incompetent directors certainly will. And the mood of the fanboy population is growing very sour indeed towards the X-Men franchise, with word "reboot" gets thrown around a lot.

Simon Kinberg is the main person behind this. This guy just doesn't get it. Hopefully, the higher ups are smart enough to realize that the fanbase doesn't trust Fox with the F4 anymore.

2 interesting things about the new Logan movie.

1. It's actually connected to the X-Men movie series.

2. Patrick Stewart said that this is going to be the final X-Men movie he is doing. He's retiring from the franchise for good. He's always been a great Charles Xavier. It's sad to know that this is going to be his final X-Men movie, but he's earned and deserved it.

Simon Kinberg say they won't make a F4 movie until they get it 100% right and we may never see Josh Trank's version before all those reshoots.

Quote wrote:
"I think the truth is we would not make another Fantastic Four movie until it was ready to be made. One of the lessons we learned on that movie is that we want to make sure we get it 100% right, because we will not get another chance with the fans."

On the pre-reshoot version.

Quote wrote:
"I don’t know the answer to that in terms of whether or not fans will ever see it. I think B-roll is probably the place where they will see it. And for us, it’s in the past in the sense of lessons learned and we would love to make another Fantastic Four movie. We really believe in that cast, and I think the lessons that we learned would help us make a more consistent movie than we did the first time."

What is it with Marvel being so reluctant to greenlight a film starring Scarlett Johansson, a known box office draw, in easily her signature role?? And why wait until after Avengers 3? Why not Wonder Woman? I know critical reception for that film could go either way, but the box office will still be strong and what better time to curry interest?

Logan was amazing. It was a heartfelt movie at it's core, but it was extremely brutal in many way. Some of the revelations of what's been happening were huge, and while the movie has a lot of depressing material, it does manage to give hope in the end. I don't want to give spoilers, so I'll just say it honestly felt like 10/10.

I just saw this review of Avengers Number 200 by Linkara.

I must admit, this is the dumbest, ridiculous, crackbrained comic book ever made. And yet, I find it hilarious. I really should get this comic book, just for laughs. It been a while since I've seen a review that made me laugh, but this one did.

Good News and Bad News.

Bad News first. Nick Spencer has basically made Magneto into a Nazi via joining Hydra. Having a Holocaust survivor join forces with Red Skull is something I'd expect Richard Spencer to do. I mean, shouldn't EVERYBODY from the comics division be fired by now? Between this, Cap joining Hydra, all the other SJW crap the comics has shoved down peoples throats, which in turn have led to imploding sales, what does it take to get fired over there? Does tradition mean nothing to Marvel Comics anymore?

Now on to more happier news.

Logan has made $247.444 million dollars so far. $88.4 million of it domestically. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

So Magneto, a.k.a Erik Lehnsherr a Polish Jew and Holocaust survivor, has now become his ideological opposite and joined the successors of the Nazi regime?? Marvel comics can officially blow itself.

Kinda makes one glad that Marvel Studios is there (as well as the good to great X-Men films) to do justice to their iconic characters, because clearly the parent company isn't!
