Megaspino, have you talk with Ftk about the progress because as far as I know he was making some biomes for the game.

"To whomever is reading, my deepest apologizes. Been busy at work, well overloaded during holidays... So far, activity has picked up. My men researching in the dense diverse jungle on an island 500 miles from my lab reviewed recordings of a slightly advanced pack of raptors. One individual was observed jogging aimlessly in the jungle. But once something came within 300 feet. It immediately chased down what appeared to be a gazelle. So it chased after it, leaping over obstacles occasionally. Unlike the ones in JPOG, these are more, hunt associated. They will look around and communicate during a hunt. If in a group, they will coordinate their attacks to where they outsmart prey faster than themselves. And to top it off, unlike other raptors, they are very and highly dangerous. Their nature is terrifying. Relentless attackers, they are the swiftest attackers ever seen. When they latched, they always land on their feet and latch on again. Seems like they take chunks of prey in their mouths when they unlatch. And when they eat, it's a noisy affair, comparable to a noisy feast with hyenas in Africa. So my efforts of capturing them is somewhat challenging. But I have already figured out how to bring them to the public. First I-"

Every now and then, this elusive critter - the FTK - pops its head out from its dwelling. Whenever it's spotted, legend tells that if the Sun and Moon are positioned just right, it brings with it a change in wind direction and rains that will go into giving life to another branch on the JPOG Tree. Blink though, and you very well may miss this very rare event - the impact, however, is very noticeable... leading to rejoice and many a good thing for all involved.

The lighting is actually changing the ambient stats in the weather.ini which is at 1.0. Change it to 0.5 and it'll show the shadowed part facing one way. Sadly only adjusted on normal weather.

Tropical Biome: A mix of some of the biomes intended for the FCM:HD. A mixture of forest, grasslands, and swamps. This will be the first and default tml for the pack. Truthfully sorry for the long delay in updates. Work and other IRL activities halted progress. And though people started to say this mod is dead due to lack of updates, as a proud contributor to this mod, perfection is key so hopefully people will understand why I took sooooooo long in releasing this update. For those who have stayed patient with me I thank you. For those other people, your meal has been served and therefore, eat up this preview. But needless to say I have something in mind that'll make people surely happy. Just wait and see. Without further ado, enjoy these pics.  =^3^=

Ftk , are you going to create the two biomes of Isla Sorna. The Redwoods forest with ferns seen in the The lost world movie. The rainforest with savanna like trees seen when the group arrives on Sorna and when the spinosaurus backs the fence in Jurassic park 3.

don't forget the savannah at the end of TLW where we see the entire ecosyatem with the T.rex family, Stegosaurus, and that dastardly Pteranodon foreshadowing JP3 at the end.   ;D Yes I'll be sure to include that environment.

The trees you see are only half of the ones I planned so I can kill two birds with one stone; JP1 and JP3 plants to be precise. And since We've upscaled trees successfully, I have officially made Sorna trees to be INCLUDED into the Flora tml as well. So we are looking at a possibility of say.....close to 70-80 plant species in total.

To note, having perfection takes time, lots of it and in doing so I will cater to everyone by having both HD and Low quality tmls for all the biomes. So 2 tmls for each biome, for the biomes being 4 biomes. but on the other hand, I have no trouble collecting ALL the tmls into one tml, so you can copy only one tml, but the size will be big so expect a long download. >;D

Each biome will have it's own folder along with .ini for what trees you might want to use. Just copy the .tmds (models) in the 'models' folder from the download and paste them in the 'models' folder in JPOG/data/models folder in your game. and copy/paste the .ini only in the data folder of your game.

Ex. [You want a jungle biome] Pick your choice of low level grasslands shown in JP1 (Rexy hunting Galli flock/Grant and company on a boat alongside ankylosaurs and brachiosaurus near the river bank) or you can have your park densely forested (Grant and the kids stranded from the Rex escape in JP1/the T.Rex couple looking for their baby in TLW/Spino vs. Rex, Raptors looking for their eggs in JP3)

By the way, the fig tree has been updated so expect a picture of it along with the low level trees/shrubs.

Excited by the way things are going, today I will work my way to having the conifers done and preview pics later on if I get word from my lab.

Also, to what extent will a raptor hunt it's prey? Reports from my journalist will arrive soon with a video documentation.

You can one biome, of course there will be plantable models for all trees and even for trees only for planting. There will be dead trees btw fyi.

Until we find a way to increase tree species in the game, we'll just stick with a biome at a time.

Edit: UPDATE!! JPOG has seen recent modding advances in it's years but by far this year is soo productive that it gave us this....

When we thought was impossible. And at that it was very intriguing to see how could the developers of this game didn't think of adding this into the game. We might as well start making JPOG 2 XD. Look forward to more updates in the future! The drought has passed and a monsoon of activity will arise once more.

Really liking this spirited FTK. You're back and have returned to form, flawlessly sticking the landing on one leg.

BTW: Is that a "corrected" Cerato model that I see there? I need that guy in my JPOG...

According to the type of biome you've selected, it'll show up. Adjust the right kinds of trees in the tree.ini in the data folder of your game. The default trees will be of the evergreen kind.

Beautiful work! The Gallimimus in particular is very nice.

PS: the Sorna male raptor's quills would be better as alphas instead of individual quills. It makes them easier to work with and cuts poly count down a lot.

That's some beautiful WIP's there, jam. Not going to hide it, TLW rexes are my favorite animals in the franchise - I trust that you guys will do them justice. Even then, I'm anxiously awaiting to see TLW Stego, Compy, and Mamenchi images, among others. Love how distinguishable the Raptors are coming along!

this thought just occurred to me: i know this is the Film Canon Mod, but what about replacing Rabies with DX from the novels? it'd certainly be a simpler mod than alot of the rest since, iirc, it'd just require some edits to the .txt files to rename it rather than changing how it functions
