It looks like Comcast, Universal's parent company, might get most of Fox anyway.
Even if this happens, Marvel/Disney would still get the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic 4 back due to a clause in the contract Marvel put in with their deal wit Fox back in the 1990's.
Well, both of those properties would fare better being back at Marvel than doing nothing at Comcast/Universal.
Meanwhile, another interview with Trevorrow has surfaced, its fairly general at first disccussing the various points about his involvement with Lucasfilm and his disappointment when it came to The Book of Henry:
Upprox Colin Trevorrow interview (Book of Henry, Star Wars, Jurassic World)
But then this came up regarding the aforementioned indie:
"I mean, I made a film about holding predatory men in positions of power accountable for assault, and that is an uncomfortable subject to talk about. But we are talking about it now and we’re listening and I hope the negative response won’t deter other filmmakers from telling these stories, because we need to hear them, both in life and in art."
And regarding the backlash of his comments regarding female directors and blockbusters, he also commented on the changing landscape in that regard, and this I do take strong disagreement with:
however embarrassing that moment was for me, if that was part of the spark that led to the revolution that is happening right now, I’ll take that hit. I think it’s worth it.
Most notably because the sea change of bringing women into the blockbusting fold did not happen overnight and the recent increase has nothing to do with him. Within minutes of this posting, Twitter went berserk again. The basic gist of the newfound outrage is that he's now twisting and appropriating the start of the "MeToo" movement for himself and his film. At this point he's just running his mouth off, and that can get you into all kinds of trouble. This is troubling because once again the narrative against Jurassic will turn very sour and that is the last fucking thing we need now.

AT&T has beat the U.S. federal government in court to buy Warnet Brothers for $85 billion dollars.
Warner Brothers really needed this news since they were at least $20-$23 billion in debt. This court win means that this buyout can now happen and that it cures their debt.

It looks like Disney and Comcast might split the properties that Fox has.

If Disney gets the Marvel stuff and Comcast gets Aliens/Predator, I’m ok with that. I was pretty worried certain properties would not do well under the Disney banner, even under other labels.

HUUUUGE NEWWWWSSS!!!
Disney's buying of most of Fox has been approved by the Justice Department.
This means that Marvel now has most of it's properties back.
The X-Men and the Fantastic 4, along with Dr. Doom and Galactus are coming home! I can't wait to see them in the MCU!

Went to the drive-in for a double feature of Fallen Kingdom and Oceans 8. Oceans 8 was better than I expected but it was hard to tell what was really possible and where they were stretching the truth. I will say, I'm hoping
Spoiler:
Being a con-man, George Clooney as Danny Ocean faked his death for some reason, because it kind of sucked the film just sort of opened up and was like, "Hey, this is Danny's sister. By the way, Danny died sometime this year."

Intrigued about this. Kinda wish they’d acknowledge Robocop 2 though, it’s not a bad sequel.
