Pachycephalosaurus is the most famous of the Pachycephalosaurid dinosaurs. Until recently, paleontologists were unsure whether
Pachycephalosaurus actually used their heads for rammings, but a specimen with dent marks in its skull proved that it did.
Pachycephalosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur, with a long and low body structure.
Role in Jurassic Park: In "The Lost World: Jurassic Park", a
Pachycephalosaurus is seen in among the dinosaurs in the Game Trail round up. Paleontologist Dr. Carter Burke notices a group of hunters trying to snare one on foot, when he begins to describe it to a fellow InGen harvester. The
Pachycephalosaurus then rams into Carter, another hunter, and throws him through a nearby Jeep, providing an excellent demonstration to Burke's explanation. The Pachycephalosaurus, nicknamed Friar Tuck by retired big game hunter Roland Tembo, is then quickly snared by the Snagger truck. Friar Tuck is later seen being released from his cage by saboteur Nick Van Owen. In "Jurassic World", a
Pachycephalosaurus has to be sedated and moved back into her enclosure after roaming outside of it. According to Lowery Cruthers, the
Pachycephalosaurus have a habit of disabling their tracking devices when the ram each other.
