General Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom News Thread V.4

I'm sure Wu is all in with Lockwood because of SCIENCE. But man, I would love to see Wu lose his shit with Lockwood, just imagine guys...

I'm also sure that Wu doesn't share the same views with Lockwood, whatever his views are...

Two things I have noticed recently:
1. I remember many plot leaks for Jurassic World that surfaced on popcultural websites such as JoBlo. And every time there was criticism for:
- hybrid dinosaur
- trained dinosaur
- militarised dinosaur
This time the only criticism is because of trailer misunderstanding. That means either script is really less ridiculous or it is guarded better.
2. There are supppsed to be re-shoots on UK on January. Any details on that?

As long as they allude to the third act and don't spell it out in the final trailer, the general audience is going to be surprised and really dig the plot twist/change of the end of Fallen Kingdom. Horror has literally never been more popular in the general movie going audience.

Agree on Get Out. The tonal change could be a worry because of The Book of Henry. The tonal changes in that film were so massive.

The thought of Bayona fighting off execs makes me like him even more!

Hopefully, they haven't tried to fit too many things into one film. Wu and Lockwood as villains might be a bit crammed. But as mentioned above, as long as they allude to the third act earlier in the film, it should flow just fine.

This is a little off topic but... How you guys will avoid spoilers from the film? It comes out two weeks earlier in the UK and some European countries.

There is no way on earth i will. Realistically i will probably have seen most of the footage by the time the two weeks are up. But i will go see it no matter what.

It makes me a bit sad lol. I thought about getting a plane ticket but i don't have the money.

I’ll probably try and avoid all the reviews from the local newspapers and websites. Hopefully that should be an easy task because I am aiming to see Fallen Kingdom within the first week, most likely on the weekend.

However there could be two problems with this plan; the first one is preordering the tickets, I have no idea how far in advance you can book for these tickets and considering how big the Jurassic Park franchise is, there is a chance that as soon as the tickets appear, they’ll all be gone. Which brings me onto the next problem, the cinema that I’m hoping to go and see the film. There is nothing really wrong with this particular cinema, but it is very popular, and seats sell out fast; which is not a surprise considering that it is the BFI IMAX.

Given the state of the fandom, there are no doubt people who will post the ending online...or even worse sneak their phones in the theater to film the ending to leak on instagram.

I think its possible some people might even fly to the UK/Europe to watch it if they are rich enough.

What is the point of releasing a mega budget American studio financed film in the UK 2 weeks before the US? Disney wouldn't do that with Star Wars or Avengers. Warner Brothers wouldn't do that with Batman or Superman. What gives?

Looks like we might get a second trailer on super bowl sunday.

It comes out on June 21 here in Australia & June 7 in Singapore, the closest country to where I am so I might just go there & somewhere else in South East Asia for my mid year holiday?, lol!

I only watch the SB for the commercials, so I know I'll be tuning in. Hopefully we'll get to see all of the new dinos.

I thought it would be released earlier in Brazil too, but we're getting it only on June 21.
If the movie is good, it will boost the hype for the domestic opening weekend.

I mean they have two weeks ahead of us. I’ll be thoroughly shocked if the whole thing isn’t online somewhere to view. So yeah stay away from Instagram and Twitter for sure.

We should start a go fund me for plane tickets .

But seriously how awesome would that be? If I was a millionaire I’d fly everyone from here to the U.K. and we’d have a premiere party. That would be a dream come true man.

Hmm...IMDb doesn't have any info yet, and I forgot where I heard the info for JW the last time, but based on my research on 4 previous movies, FK will release here in Indonesia on June 6, so I think I can avoid spoilers. I feel very lucky right now.

If you wanted them haha, however, I usually wait a week before seeing any film in the cinema due to crowds.

I'm very sure I can avoid the spoiler. June 6th, here in S. Korea. I'm going to watch that on 7 a.m.

Sorry to disappoint some of you folks, but I don't mind spoilers, especially if there's something I'm either worried or concerned about, since it helps me prepare for it. I read spoilers all of the time, and not once has it spoiled the experience for me (probably because I don't let it). I rarely go to a movie on opening day, I usually go a few days later, and with the release of JW: FK, I finally get to use up some of the Cineplex gift cards that I got for my last birthday (I got another one for Christmas, along with some coupons for the concession stand that I had to recycle, since they expire in March, and I won't be going to the movies until late June). I'm actually starting to get a little excited for it.

I already avoid most major social media sites so I doubt the film will be spoiled for me a week in advance.

We probably knew this already, but the ending of JW:FK will set up JW3/JP6.

It was common for the other movie "news" sites to spin this anyway they liked, like "Jurassic World 2 won't have a satisfying ending" or something of the sort. Or just treating it like news in general. Honestly, even we as hardcore fans had known that Fallen Kingdom would provide some kind of setup for the next film.

What I think helped Jurassic World was the fact that it appeared, from the marketing onset, to be a standalone sequel and word of a planned trilogy was relatively restrained compared to the likes of Terminator Genisys or the respective superhero franchises of Marvel, DC and Fox.

I just hope the ending is subtle enough and not heavy-handed a la The Mummy (2017) or like many other movies do nowadays.

Just took a look at the reactions to the trailer for the first time in a while. Unlike when the trailer first came out, most of the comments are very positive, which is nice to see. I'm really hoping the next trailer does a better job at representing the film, though.

I saw actually mixed reactions. I do have the impression that Jurassic World receives far more hate on internet than it supppsed to have. And since JW Has now such reputation, Fallen Kingdom trailer is treated by some critics/youtubers with grain of Salt to say it politely.

Alan Grant gets killed by a Giganotosaurus/Spinosaurus Hybrid whilst fighting off a Dilophosaurus at the end of JWFK. Sorry.
