| Hopefully Bayona was able to request a longer running time from the studio, since his movies are often slow-burns even when they're not that long. The scenes in Lockwood Manor need to play out as such as soon as we've gotten past the island scenes. Just hope it doesn't result in people complaining that it's too long. _______________ "Life will find a way." | |

| I don't know if 2 hours 8 minutes is enough time to properly establish the story, especially with all the extra stuff involving indoraptor and Wu. | |

| On one hand, that's kind of disappointing and I hope it miraculously changes to 138 minutes or something. On the other hand, that's basically the runtime of every JP movie, so I don't know what to feel about this. | |

| 128mins is ok, 4 mins longer than JW, 1 min than JP & 1 min shorter than TLW. We know that the first hour takes place on the island then moves to mainland/Lockwood Manor so that gives us an hour or so on the Mainland. | |

| Seems like there could potentially be a severe lack of build up to the island in this film. Either that or the Island part of the film is really short. | |

| 57 minutes for both the introduction, build up, court scene, campaign scenes and the Island Volcano scenes? Seems too quick. | |

It seems like the actual time on the island could be EXTREMELY short as well. Remember on Twitter Colin said the trailer covers the first 57 minutes and they are off the island in that trailer(dinos on boat). The opening prologue on Nublar, The scene with Lockwood. Gathering the new team. Claire convincing Owen to come. The court scene. Of course I don’t know the order of these things but it seems like they are going to get there and 5 minutes in the volcano will erupt. I could see aspects feeling rushed and disappointing. I know they want to move on from the island but I would like a sense of dread being built after their arrival.

| The thing about time is that we (or maybe just me) often forget how short action scenes and scenes in general can be. Looking through individual scenes in the series online trips me out because I was always under the impression that those scenes were longer than they really were. At the end of the day what matters to me is that if the runtime is what Bayona wanted it to be then that is what the runtime needed to be. If the runtime is the result of the studio then I will be more worried but as right now I am assuming this is what Bayona wanted. Bayonas vision>super long movie | |

Perfectly said, exactly what I was getting at in my post. 57 minutes for a hell of a lot of content. It's gonna feel at least slightly rushed.

Of course they will. The only opinions I really take seriously are the fans anyway. If there are complaints here, atleast it won’t be blind hatred like on Reddit.

| So my theory of Zia being involved somehow grows stronger:

I just watched that. You are talking about the panel correct? They are so ignorant of the story that it feels like they don’t even grasp the fundamentals of this movie trying to change things up and why it had a new hybrid. Kinda annoying how professional critics are judging the film based solely on the trailer. "It looks like a shitty movie" isn't something you'd expect a pro critic to say. He'll end up going into the film with a negative attitude and not liking it. He's already made up his mind which is a shame. Also, his lack of respect for anything else to do with the film bugs me. Mentions nothing of the nicely designed set pieces, nothing about the cinematography, nothing about the directing, just says it's a shitty movie.
