Something I gather from this is we're going to be spending a lot of time on the mainland before we get to the island. There's the DPG office with Franklin/Zia, Malcolm's testimony, Claire at the Lockwood estate, Owen's camp, and the Owen/Claire bar scene...all before we reach the island. I actually don't think there's going to be a lot on the island, really...a bit of poking around, finding Blue, then the Baryonyx attack/lava scene...then off to the auction/indoraptor.

BTW, the reviews should be up tomorrow (Tuesday), right?

Also, anyone else playing Jurassic World Alive on their phone? It's fun/addictive.

I'm not trying to judge it before i even see it done myself, but would it kill them to make it 10 minutes longer for all this? That would be great.

Crowded. There are so many movies i see now a days that are crowded with great ideas but not enough time is spent on each.

I can't wait to ask people after the premiere about the pacing.

Hell, even Infinity War was extremely long and there wasn't even a payoff. Fallen Kingdom really could benefit from being longer.

I wouldn't mind a 2h30m Jurassic Park movie, but I think it's kind of admirable that Trevorrow and Bayona have been able to keep these new movies on a relatively average length. There are a lot of blockbuster franchises who can't help making overly long movies, like some of the Marvel movies, the new batch of Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and (shudders) Transformers.

On a different note, I'm getting increasingly worried that Rexy won't get to do anything cool or noteworthy in Fallen Kingdom that we haven't already seem in the trailers/TV spots. My guess is that her only big contribution to the movie will be eating one or two human villains in the climax.

Bit odd that the U.K. press screening is at the same time the embargo lifts. Usually it’s early the morning of in order to get reviews written and checked before publishing when the embargo lifts.

A Dutch Newspaper gave it a 3/5. Mentioning exciting action scenes but repeatable in comparison with its predecessors

The guy from reddit who attended the crew screening gave it a 7 out of 10 Goldblums, saying that it's a blast, but it's much more style than substance. Seems to me like a fair review.

I really don't expect anything great story-wise. I just expect good music, well constructed set pieces, great cinematography, great effects, and a decent amount of fan service. I think those are realistic expectations.

All in all, based on what I'm hearing, I get the feeling that we'll be getting another JW quality film. Pretty good, but not great :/

Jurassic World's reviews leaned towards the positive side as well.

I have to say, I'm somewhat disappointed. As much as I did enjoy JW, I was hoping that this film would be a significant improvement on the last one, and it doesn't look like that's going to be the case. I know, I know.. "Don't judge it until you've seen it for yourself" and whatnot, but it feels a bit underwhelming regardless. With a director like JA Bayona at the helm, a great cinematographer like Oscar Faura on board, and an emphasis on tension this time around, I really had high hopes that this film would be something special, and now it's looking to me as though any improvements over JW will be marginal at best.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it for what it is

Me too. I know I'll like it for sure, but I wanted this film to bring the franchises rep back up. I'm just sick of seeing my favourite franchise being seen as mediocre.
