The Batman has moved from June 2021 to October 2021 & it had filmed for 2 months before production has halted, so I'd say Dominion will be moved somewhere down the line since it only got 3 weeks of filming done.

New article has some speculation, pretty much a worst-case scenario for "Dominion":
Quote :
...when Hollywood does reopen, the industry will experience inevitable scheduling conflicts as actors, directors, and location scouts scramble to make their delayed movies first..Splashy projects currently on hold — such as Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis movie, Jurassic World: Dominion, and the DC Extended Universe reboot The Batman — could end up in turnaround as a result of the chaos.

I think this is highly unlikely - almost impossible - but basically mentioned it since it's a professional article.
AMC theaters are longer showing Universal movies, as a result of the studio releasing the last "Trolls" straight to digital...if this is permanent it will affect box office when the film is released.
Another theater chain is now saying they will refuse to show Universal films...I assume they'll reach an agreement, no one wants to lose out on BO hauls.

It is really sad to hear about Irrfhan Khan, he was a great actor, and I loved the energy he put into his roles. He will be greatly missed. Also I feel that AMC is going to end up regretting this move, Universal movies simply make too much money to really consider it like this. As well as this eaten by a dinosaur contest, I already entered, hoping that someone in the fandom wins.

I thought that Khan said his cancer was receding a year or so ago...It really suck that he died when he was still fairly young.

Seems like a big overreaction by AMC. Crap like this is only going to accelerate studios moving exclusively to streaming.
Like it or not, the Wuhan virus simply accelerated things. With Hollywood making more and movies with no true identity and with many franchises being badly handled, things were going this way anyway.

Yeah, it's sad about Khan.

Universal has announced a bunch of 2022 release dates for currently unannounced films, including one on June 10th 2022 - suspect this might be Dominion's new slot.

"The Matrix 4" (which is filming in the US) is hoping to resume shooting in July, while "The Batman" (which is filming in the UK, like "Dominion") seems to be more up-in-the-air.

I don't see Dominion restarting production until probably August. I'd say they'll try to finish shooting by December. If not, start again early next year & delay the release date to June 22.

Frank Marshall calls "Dominion" the "start of a new era" and states that it's NOT being planned as the last Jurassic movie.
On the one hand, considering how Uni is starved for franchises it makes sense. The 50 Shades trilogy is mercifully over and so will the F&F franchise once F&F 10 get released next year. Their Dark Universe was a failure and Paul Feig is gonna trash those monsters with his wokeness. So if Uni does get the rights back, if they haven't did so now, it was enevitable.
On the other hand...I still question how long people will just accept dinosaurs roaming around willy-nilly without getting wiped out by the National Guard/SWAT. Just look at the outrage that the Wuhan virus shutdowns are causing. You expect people in the JP universe to just let dinosaurs roam like they own the place and just accept it when in real-life, people have got sick and tired of the shutdowns via protests and businesses opening anyway? What about people who have family members get terribly injured or killed by the dinosaurs? Do they get told "Oh well, deal with it"? You can expect people to deal with so much stupidity until they get sick of it. Just look at Bayformers.
Humans and dinosaurs co-existing for good might work in a fantasy setting al la Dinotopia, but not in a science fiction movie. Sci-fi as a genre is simply too smart for that.

Apparently WB will resume filming their movies in the UK soon, wonder if Universal can be far behind?
Sam Neil said in a recent interview July looked likely for resuming filming.

If filming does start up again in July as planned & they finish up by say November, the film will likely keep it's June 2021 release date. But if production gets delayed further or they have to close down again during filming it will be almost certainly be delayed a year.

"The Matrix 4" which was supposed to open next May has been moved to April 2022. It seems likely JW:D might follow suit.

I don't know, man, I'm afraid they rush everything and we suffer the consequences quality wise. Also, I hope it's safe for everyone to go to the theatres by June 2021!
Anyway, in other circunstances, we would have an official poster by now and maybe some still pictures.

Yeah if they resume in July or August, there is still a bit of time to have it ready for June, but of course i wont be surprised either if they delay it. but yeah if they are unable to start filming until September, a delay is inevitable.
