- Here's the difference. TLW was able to get away with that because the survivors and victims families were all bribed off to keep quiet while as Malcomb was smeared so that nobody could have believed him. That and having a 41 ft long, 7 ton T. rex rampaging does sound absurd at first.
Now, everybody knows that dinosaurs are alive and on the mainland. Yeah, no. If we're going for realism, that Rex is shot dead almost immediately. If not seconds after walking off the boat or dock, then most certainly here.
Not necessarily. Back in the 90's, most cops were armed with pistols, usually M92 Berettas, .40 S&Ws, or M1911A1 .45 autos. A few were armed with pump-action shotguns, but that was fairly uncommon. Semi-automatic weapon armed cops were fairly rare. In other words, unless those cops had Magnum caliber revolvers or Desert Eagles in .50 Action Expresses, that drug induced Rex would have had just kept on going. Heck, part of the reason why Iraqi insurgents were so tough was because they were pumped with drugs. I saw something on what used to be the Military Channel, now called American Heroes Channel, about a guy in the Army who was barely able to clear a house full of drug fueled insurgents with a light machine gun. He said that if he had a normal M16 instead of what he had, he'd be dead. If a guy in the U.S. Army can barely beat drug induced raged insurgents, then it would be impossible for those San Diego cops to kill a drug-fueled raged Papa Rex. _______________ The undisputed dominant predator of Jurassic Mainframe.

I think maybe you're giving TLW a bit of a pass here because you like the film. A Tyrannosaur head isn't exactly a small target, and I imagine a flurry of bullets would have been more than sufficient to put the buck down. _______________ Dinosaurs still rule the earth | |

| Regarding the military, something interesting happened in the newest Jurassic World motion comic. The rex attacking the zoo,the "US Department of wildlife" showed up with choppers to try to ward it off. Instead of any lethal force, the rex was distracted into a forest. _______________ Read my Story Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory!
