This is something that’s been bugging me for a few years now and thanks to the release of expanded material, it has become quite the elephant in the room when regarding the Jurassic World park. What sort of attraction was Triceratops Territory?
Was it a safari truck ride, was it a walkthrough attraction with disguised or visible viewing areas, or was it something similar to the old Triceratops Encounter at Islands of Adventure?
We’ve seen all of Jurassic World's other rides and attractions through multiple forms of media; the animated television shows, books, concept art, video games and the movie. And while Bamboo Forest and Botanical Gardens have also never been seen, there was just enough information released about them that we have a good idea on what they were like as an attraction.
Whereas with Triceratops Territory, there are only three tidbits of information:
1. The attraction exhibits Triceratops.
2. It has its own monorail station.
3. Visitors can see these gentle giants roam up close and personal.
It’s somewhat ridiculous we know more about the attractions that didn’t make the final cut beyond concept art (Plesiosaur Pond and Pteranodon Terrace), than an attraction that did make the final cut and whose name was used from the original novel.
