Subject: "Jurassic World Adventure" Opens in Universal Studios Beijing Mon Aug 23, 2021 4:40 pm
Universal is opening its first park in China, and part of that is the "Jurassic World Isla Nublar" themed land. It seems that the signature attraction, "Jurassic World Adventure", has been opened for guests.
It's a dark ride which seems to be somewhat similar to the Hollywood park's Jurassic World ride, featuring some pretty impressive animatronics and screen effects. Rather than a boat, riders board the "A.T.L.A.S.", or "All-Terrain Luxury Autonomous System," and venture into the park, getting caught up in events from the original JW movie featuring Owen and Claire, including the Raptor/InGen Mercenary encounter and culminating in a recreation of the Rex/Indominus battle.
I wonder if Uni is planning more such attractions at their other parks (which seems fairly likely)?
The land also includes a "Jurassic Flyers" ride in which guests can board "a high-tech glider and soar far above Jurassic World Isla Nublar for a Pteranodon’s-eye view of the spectacular prehistoric world below," and in addition there's a "Raptor Encounter" similar to the one in the American parks.
There are also several restaurants and stores, including Jurassic Traders, Hammond's, Amber Ridge, Birds of Prey Cafe (which is contained within the Aviary), and The Overlook (which literally looks down on the old remains of the original Jurassic Park). Fun fact: elsewhere the new park features a version of the effects action "Lights! Camera! Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg."
