Microsoft Finally Kills Off Xbox's Kinect
I feel like this wasnt meant to last forever, especially with the PSMove dying off because neither Microsoft nor Sony could really compete with Nintendo when it came to motion controls on the Wii.

Metal Gear Survive needs a constant internet connection to be played.
EA Games tried this with Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Wars. If they couldn't get away with this, then neither can Konami.
A live action Contra movie and TV series has been announced by Konami.
If they make this like a 1980's action movie, then I have faith in this. To be honest, I have more faith int his then I do with the one Metal Gear Solid movie that Sony's making.

I've been obsessively playing Super Mario Odyssey on my Switch lately. Such a good game! If only I was actually good at platformers though...

Not only did Disney force EA to stop the microtransactions-at least for now-but they were so pissed off about the whole thing, that they indirectly threatened to pull the Star Wars video game publishing rights.

I hope they do, but the funny thing is that Lucasfilm was complicit in the entire thing most likely. The claim is that Lucasfilm thought star cards was a cool idea.

The mode would have focused on teamwork and squad composition, and — more importantly — it would have favored cosmetic items like hero costumes in its loot boxes over perks and weapons. Most of these ideas were dropped from Battlefront II due, at least in part, to a request from Disney’s Star Wars division Lucasfilm.

World Health Organization Draft Recognizes Gaming Addiction http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2017/12/27/world-health-organization-draft-recognizes-gaming-addiction.aspx
Quote :
The World Health Organization, the health arm of the United Nations, has included a recognition of gaming addiction in their newest internal classification of diseases revision.
That classification, or the ICD-11, is due out in 2018 and the current draft points to prioritization of gaming above all else and impaired control over the act as behavior indicating an addiction.
“The behavior pattern is of sufficient severity to result in significant impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational, or other important areas of functioning,” reads the current WHO draft. “The gaming behavior and other features are normally evident over a period of at least 12 months in order for a diagnosis to be assigned, although the required duration may be shortened if all diagnostic requirements are met and symptoms are severe.”
Official recognition means that it's likely official diagnoses are likely not far down the line.
We need gaming addiction to be officially recognized now?

While I'm not against talking about this, we need to focus on the opioid epidemic instead. This is far more serious.

Yeah, I can tell you opioid and methamphetamine use is far more concerning and just about as prevalent.
I know all too well. Two of my friends died from opioid overdose. The first one was in 2009 via possible suicide and the other one was in 2014 via accidental overdose.

I grew up with the original on Dreamcast and fell in love with this franchise! In fact, it is one of the main inspirations for the game I'm making. I would love a 4th Dino Crisis, or even a remaster, and would back it in a heartbeat!
