Some backstory from when it was first announced:
Initially, it was designed as a survival game that deals with the humans vs dinosaur trope, but with a twist: So, if anyone remembers, Vlad Konstantinov left TSL after Jig didn't pay him, and managed to sell his Ankylosaurus to Beasts of Prey. However, what most people don't mention is that he also found work in the form of another project called The Isle. This one is developed by former Primal Carnage devs (namely Dondi, who had a bit of a reception in the past (1.3)) and Kcin, Rodrigo Vega and I believe GovernorOstrich, who no longer supports TSL (or Jig, of course) have also joined up.

The dinosaurs can more or less evolve after killing and eating herbivores that have a certain strain. As of yet, there are 3 planned; Hyperendocrin (Pretty much a crocodile-esq design with roid rage), Neurotenic (Looks like a messed up fetus that can pull off some really hypnotic Crap (Like see chat, or something along the lines)) and Tissoplastic (Feathered, while the weakest of the three, they can spit acid/venom and camouflage themselves like cuttlefish (I may be wrong, so don't quote me on that last part)).
Well, a few things have changed, but the main idea is still there. Thankfully, Dondi does streams every now and then, so that should suffice as proof of concept at least. Confirmed playable dinosaurs include: -Tyrannosaurus rex -Deinonychus -Megaraptor (a fictional version, anyways) -Herbivores (Not at first, but a bit of persuasion seems to have done the trick, I'm also assuming Stegosaurus and Triceratops)

Most of the work in progress shots of dinosaur models and screenshots of the game come from their Discord channel, which can only be accessed through invite. These images do pop up outside the channel every now and then though.

So I have and play the game, and I can confirm it looks a lot better now than it does in the video. There are quite a bit more choices than on BIS' dinosaur list in the video, as updates keep chugging 'em out. If you're interested in the game, here is the link to the store page. T-Rex life cycle is now out meaning the Juvenile, Subadult, and new adult T-rex models are playable!

The overhauled the graphics system and the lower performance skins didn't make the cut as they didn't match up with whatever graphics update they implemented.

Well Levia said the skins works perfectly, but she said the problems between her and Dondi were not resolve. But I dont like the idea why they will make TSL models exclusive to the owner. They bought the models to Vlad and the Ankylosaurus from Beasts of Prey. Also why the Utahraptor is naked? I mean its cool, the default skin reminds me to TLW raptors. With some dinosaurs beign accurate, why this is scaly? This is a fictional specie or a real ones?

The game is set in modern times as it will also have two human factions
- Survivors/Mercs
- Tribals
With mutated beasts and so on, this game was never intended to be only dinosaur related.
In other news I see you guys are way behind on community news so I'm here with a bunch of cool stuff!
- Player nesting is now in the game
- Giganotosaurus, Retro Spinosaurus are now in game and are the tier above Acrocanthosaurus & Suchomimus
- Juvenile models for most dinosaurs have been created:
