100 years ago. The Ghost Of Slumber Mountain came out.
Without this movie, there'd be no Jurassic Park, no Godzilla, no original 1925 version of The Lost World, no Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, no King Kong, none of...well anything. In other words, if not for this movie, this site, let alone JPL, wouldn't exist.

Dude that was brilliant. I'd never actually seen it before. Stop-motion holds a special place for me.
I should note that, such as in "A Sound of Thunder", the butterfly effect causal flux of this one film being extinguished would definitely result not in a dinosaur-film+fanbase lack but rather a variation unknwon to us.. how strange it must look.

Me too. It's an underappreciated art form in this day and age.

Well maybe but you might be surprised, there are fans out there who make new stop-mo dino content. Quickscript Creations on youtube occasionally features stop-motion Indoraptor scenes.
