It's kind of hard to introduce myself, since most of you guys seem to know each other from JPL ahaha (also it's just plain hard talking about myself ). Basically, Raptor Dash recruited me!
I'm anarchytissues! I go by Cipher online, so feel free to call me that ahhh. I'm a twenty-two year old Canadian with too much time on their hands. I like to write really silly (if nsfw) fanfiction, but I do occasionally try to branch out into more serious "character driven" stuff. Most of it is romance focused, so I apologize if that's not your cup of tea. I've been 'involved' with the fandom for a little over a year! Though most of my contributions have been silly OC-centric stories pfft.
As a kid, I was super into the first Jurassic Park movie! I'd watch it all the time at my granny's house on VHS and all the scenes I could remember--besides the T-rex reveal with the jeeps and the kitchen scene--were of Ian Malcolm. Looking at my taste in men now... I think he played a part in that. Two weird and kind of embarrassing facts about my later experiences with the franchise is that I was REALLY confused when Jurassic Park 3 came out because I didn't know... there was a two. Then someone told me "Yeah, there was a sequel called 'The Lost World'." The problem with that was I was a dumb six year old and the only piece of media I knew by that name was...
Yeah.
The other experience with the franchise was seeing Jurassic Park 3 when I was dumb and six years old in the theatre and having to leave because I got scared of the spinosaurus? Imagine how embarrassed I felt when I saw the rest of the movie years later :'). And I only just saw the whole movie in it's entireity this summer, hoo boy. More fun to watch than Lost World, in my honest Ian loving opinion.
I got back into the franchise through Chris Pratt Jurassic World. And now here I am! I hope that we can get along!

Welcome to the forum! I'm a fan fiction writer myself, but haven't written anything about Jurassic Park/World (yet, but I have a few ideas). Unlike you, I've been into the Jurassic Park films on and off since '97 (the only movies I've seen in the theater are The Lost World and Jurassic World. I wasn't too young when the original came out in theaters back in '93, I just wasn't into movies like this back then, but I do remember the ad on television). The second story will get deleted as soon as I begin my crossover story (if I ever get around to it, since this isn't my only fandom), since the characters in that story are no longer together (they were married for three and a half years), but I"ll be leaving it up on FanFiction.net (with a link to it in the notes in case anyone who has it bookmarked on Ao3 wants to favor and/or follow it on FF.net, since it's a little farther along) in case I ever want to go back to it.
