For me this is a good sign. JW deserved better toys. The only ones I got are Legos and my girl gift me the brawlasaurs. I hope at least bandai will have the right to release some cool MonsterArts figures

Agreed, RolandEden. Hasbro losing the license is a good thing. I mean, have you seen the figures Mattel put out for Ghostbusters? Plus, with Hasbro no longer cornering the market... it could open the door for Neca and Hot Toys.

Hasbro deserves this to happen to them. Over a decade and a half of crap, cheap plastic toys from them. Hopefully Mattel will give these toys the respect they deserve.

I'm so glad Hasbro lost the license. No more shitty quality toys, I guess.
I hope Mattel does a better job with the dinosaurs and maybe we can get human figures. I would kill for a Claire and Wu figures.

I think this is a potential hybrid for the game. Some said this is with Suchomimus...but remember the Gallimimus in the game has teeth.

Some of the Hybrids are just so . . . out there to me. Yes, the are sort of cool in some regards but the idea of mixing a large theropod carnivore and a pterosaur . . . I just dont get it. Its seems completely inprobably to me. Yes, they're toys and the creators are just being creative but whats next, mixing a bird and shark?

Agreed. Nothing will ever beat the original JP toys and the TLW follow ups in my mind. One of the biggest issues I have with the whole thing is the "dino damage." I wouldnt want a toy that is permanently suffering blood loss and traumatic, bone revealing injuries. It just looks tacky. I also miss the rubber skin and not all this hard plastic.

@spiegel: Well in JW the game there are 2 hybrids that are pterosaur and theropod: Suchoripterus (Suchomimus+Dsuganripterus) and Pelecanipteryx (Pelecanimimus+Haztegopteryx). And yes I miss the rubber ones. Well this is the goodby for Hasbro. Im impatient to see what Mattel would give us!

@RolandEden, yes I know. I played the game. Made considerable progress but refused to spend real money to make it move faster and got rather tired of it. However, in the game alot of the Hybrids look pretty cool just not so much as toy. I would still say a lot of them are rather goofy but are cool in appearance.
