Say what you want about Colin, but at least he doesn't do what others are doing.

This is a breath of fresh air in comparison to Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy attacking their own fanbase. Respect to Colin for treating the fans with respect.

But this a good idea for a thread, we need a place to post all of Colin's tweets. They often contain interesting nuggets of info.

To be fair, at least some of that is justified, since a decent portion of the fanbase is still getting louder in their toxicity to this day. But I don't want to talk about Star Wars here, so I'll stop now.

We should post the tweets containing story information and his response to the flaws people have been saying about the new films.

Yeah I see your point about the toxic fanbase but I'm talking about stuff like them calling fans who didn't like TLJ sexist manbabies who live in their mother's basement. That's just out of order and overly defensive. They deflect all criticism and blame the fans.

Colin on the other hand respects the fans and even accepts constructive criticism as seen in some of the tweets on this thread.

But I will also stop talking about SW now.

Regardless of everything else, I have a lot of respect for Colin in how he interacts with the fandom in an open and honest way.

Colin's honesty, open mind and willingness to hear are honestly the reasons I admire him- this is something that's imo missing in most directors today. His open interactions with the fanbase, calm responses and acceptance even to the harshest criticism and his cryptic teasing through his tweets are the best
His comments to the entire thread about the dinosaur behavior in FK by dinosaur behavior expert Dr. C. Pugh are a perfect example.

He answered me more than once by now. I once showed him my dino toys collection and he answered taking a photo of his collection too.
He's the director of a billion dollars movie, yet he feels so close to us fans, like if he's just another fan among us who just happens to also direct the JW movies.

Meh. I wanna see if he keeps up his words when he does JW3.

It's easy to say words and say how much he loves the fandom yet not everything he says get in the movies...As I said, it's easy to talk, anyone can do it. I wanna see his words transform into real stuff in the next movie.

Until then, I'm skeptical about a lot of stuff. Specially character development.

This needs to be said more often.

Once George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney the people at Lucas film began a well documented tendency to attack, blame and gaslight fans. Pablo Hidalgo, Kathleen Kennedy, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rian Johnson have all given this vibe that there is no such thing as them making a mistake, any critic of their work is just a toxic person.
