| if it means anything, i made a point of saving about eighty different threads verbatim from the forum. most of them are just for my own personal reference and amount to speculation or discussing elements of the films, but i also saved the Masrani Backdoor thread--which could be useful for rebuilding/adding to a new version of the Encyclopedia since i'm pretty sure most of it wasn't addressed in the original Encyclopedia--and the main "End of an Era" thread where most of us were hanging out right up until the end (though i missed the posts in the last few minutes of it--the very last version of it i was able to save was at what the board recognized as 8:59pm Pacific time and a 16th page on the printable 40-per-page version had just appeared). i also saved the last page--but only the last page--of the Bar & Grill Thread since that was where the closing was addressed until it was locked and the Richard Attenborough Memorial Thread. and i think D4E mentioned something about getting a screencap of everyone who was logged in at the very end?
on a less archive-related note, i also saved the Ask a Paleo-Question threads, but i think alot of the first one ended up getting cut off due to forum pruning just over three years ago. we have a section for discussing paleontology, right? i could try to simplify the questions and repost them in a separate thread. _______________ Requiescas in pace, Jurassic Park Legacy. | Alright I'm organizing everything I've gathered, and I have a couple ready. All (I think) downloads from the main site, packed together (this includes wallpapers, misc, fcm and ncm mods, a few other things), the images of the parks and toys from the main site, and the header images I've managed to save. I don't know how much of what I saved will be needed, but I'll post a download link to all of it. I still have yet to go through and organize the mods, skins, and JP production images I've saved. Expect those next, sometime this week, hopefully. Here's the link to the folder where everything will be uploaded at: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/coyyqkrypfaau/JPL_Backup

| Really sorry to make this my first post, but does anyone have the costuming section of the JPLegacy forums handy? I've downloaded the zip on the first post, but it seems to be lacking anything John Hammond related, and none of the forums posts are available. I've reached out to Tarbtano to provide the 6GB of the site I downloaded with SiteSucker before it went down, but unfortunately I also didn't manage to get the Costuming and Prop sections. I have a friend looking to do a Hammond costume for a convention and would really like to find any information I can for him. | |

| MEGA JPLegacy Archive
Decryption Key: !We2pgaqRP8BECmIs4bvqWA
I've uploaded a split archive for anyone that is interested of what I was able to salvage from JPLegacy before they shut down. The archive is in 7zip format, and split to fit on CD.
I am also uploading a loose files version to the same location that is NOT compressed, so that anyone that needs single files doesn't have to download the ~6GB or so of compressed data, and can simply grab files individually.
The archive contains everything I was able to grab, the week of the shutdown, seven levels deep, including external links and images.
The upload of the loose files will take several days, even just the compressed version took close to seven hours to upload.

| If anyone is interested, I have uploaded the last 25 pages or so of JPLegacy's "The End To An Era" thread. I archived these pages as MHTML files before the site shut down. You can open MHTML files with most browsers, e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, pages 54 and 58 are missing (maybe someone else saved them?). Here's the download link to the files: http://www60.zippyshare.com/v/bwgN37vt/file.html Note: If I remember correctly, these pages were saved in Chrome using the "Save Page as MHTML" option. This feature is disabled by default, but you can enable it by toggling the "Save Page as MHTML" option on the chrome://flags page. Firefox can do the same thing with the Mozilla Archive Format add-on, and the feature is also enabled by default in Internet Explorer. (I'm not sure about Edge, which seems to be missing the basic "Save As" functionality. Thanks Microsoft ) _______________ | |
