As someone who was literally thinking of my fond memories of watching the show yesterday, and wondering if they might reboot it as "new blood"(in the future) this was incredibly sad to me .
Even when the show got bad he was a pretty great character.

George Romero, the man who invented the modern zombie, is dead at 77
I never particularly cared for zombie movies, but as a huge horror fan, that's a deep hit. RIP

I just heard about this on the radio and almost drove off the road literally. I thought they were talking about his upcoming project Road of the dead.
Say all you want about 2016 but damn this year to hell too.

RIP George A.Romero. It saddens me to think how actually close we may be to losing a lot of these icons. Carpenter, Sean Cunningham, Clive Barker, not to mention our acting icons like Robert England, Kane Hodder, Jaime Lee Curtis, etc. are all into their late 50s, mid-60s, or even older, and while I still see some good, itll never be the same.

It's unfortunate, but we are coming to an end of an era, I feel. The horror genre hasn't been the same since the 80s. These recent years have only solidified it.

Martin Landau's favourite performance will always be as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood, it was like the man was alive right in front of us. He will be very much missed.

"I always thought of the zombies as being about revolution, one generation consuming the next." — George Romero Everything about this man was so progressive and forward thinking. I remember as a young kid being super impressed that he cast a black man as his main hero in the masterpiece of a film, night of the living dead. He's got other masterpieces but that one is special to me just because it feels so revolutionary.
He was actually the co-lead with Mike Shinoda...however he was the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots after the death of Scott Weiland and it's gotta be hard on them as well.

Harry Potter and Sense & Sensibility Actor, Robert Hardy, passes away age 91
In addition to his most famous roles in these particular films, and an incredibly extensive repertoire of television and stage roles, I also remember being introduced to him in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein as Professor Krempe, and the BBC adaptation of The Lost World as Professor Illingworth. In both, he was an impressionable character actor. RIP, sir.

Yes, this one saddens me (although at least he lived a long life!). I first saw him in the HP movies, but I'll always know him as Siegfried from All Creatures Great and Small

I may not have followed Strictly Come Dancing very often, but many of my British friends did and Bruce Forsyth certainly livened the proceedings. It's going to feel strange not seeing him on TV from now on.
