Anyway...

My journey of travelling the waters of music history and genres has been quite long, and it's far from over, but so far, my favorite period in history, in regards to popular music, are the 1980s (with the exception of metal, which I don't listen to in any form or period). The innovations in sound engineering and songwriting (to a lesser extent) are exactly what I feel moved by as a listener.

Select few favorites: Toto, Kenny Loggins, Survivor, Phil Collins (whether solo, or with Genesis), Chicago, Journey (particularly with Steve Perry), Huey Lewis & The News, Sade, Richard Marx, Michael McDonald, Whitesnake, etc.
