| So i have been feeling a bit nolstagic with the Walking With series, being one of my all time fave documentaries about prehistoric life. so i figured why not make a thread dedicated to it, so if you would like to discuss anything regarding the Walking with series and your overall feelings feel free to post it here. _______________ | |

| I love the Walking With Dinosaurs series. I also remember seeing parts of the spin-off, The Ballad of Big Al, which was good in it's own right. Personally, I like 'When Dinosaurs Roamed America' slightly better. I also remember seeing Dinosaur Planet. These were some great documentaries that you don't see nowadays. _______________ The undisputed dominant predator of Jurassic Mainframe.

| I remember watching "Walking with Dinosaurs" on television. I've also seen "Walking with Beasts". The only one I haven't seen is "Walking with Monsters". _______________ The traditional greeting of Dinotopia: "Breathe Deep, Seek Peace"

| I only caught the two Jurassic episodes on TV at the time back in 1999, but you can bet that I watched them over and over again until I learned of the official release of the VHS. My biggest nostalgic memories of Walking With Dinosars come from watching and re-watching them o VHS and always sitting through to the end of the second video to watch the Making-Of documentary. It was so detailed and intriguing that it made me want to pursue filmmaking, right up there with the Making-Of documentaries for JP and TLW. _______________ "Life will find a way." | |

| When I watched Walking with Dinosaurs for the first time circa 2001, it was towards very end of being really hooked up to dinosaurs, but regardless I did love it. My favorite was the fifth episode in Antarctica where the Leaellynasaura coped in wintery conditions, and the Triassic one. I appreciated the occasional puppetry switch from CGI, even if it was bit iffy at times.
I also saw Walking with Beasts and Ballad of Big Al both once maybe 13-15 years ago, but they weren't as interesting to me. |

| I own the whole series on DVD. While they're not as accurate as they used to be, I'm still incredibly fond of them primarily due to the show's atmosphere and story telling. My personal favorite out of the bunch was Walking with Beasts. I'm hoping they'll bring back the series in the future to cover some fossil sites the haven't covered yet like early Cretaceous Africa and Pleistocene Australia. | |
