Yes from what I have been told by reliable sources, the Sub is small enough to be dropped into the Lagoon by a helicopter, the one we saw being filmed back in the UK in April with the driving rain & someone (possibly Toby Jones character?) dangling on the ladder.

If the sub is used in the lagoon, I think it will be used to collect DNA samples from the Mosasaur. Whether it is still alive or dead depends on when the sub scene happens in comparison to Jurassic World's events.

Most likely they need the DNA of the Indominus. The lack of overgrowth on the Pinewood set would mean they are going very soon after the events of JW, when the mosasaur will still be alive. The mosasaur likely gets in the way of their plans.

Yes, and this ties into a certain thing that has been leaked. And would make sense as to Wu and co working on this certain thing for some time before the events of JW2 if the sub scene takes place years before.

I have no doubt the sub & helicopter night scenes at the lagoon will be the opening of the film, will set the tone for a more eerie, dark, suspenseful film for sure.

sounds like the biggest opening yet in the franchise. Just happy to see that the mosa will get some more action. totally thought jw will be the last time we saw it.

They had to freeze it somehow. Besides, the I. rex carcass would be too well eaten and waterlogged for any DNA to be obtained.

i just hope that we get some kind of pic today, considering that they finished principal photography.

omg did anyone see the new set photos of chris pratt and bryce on the beach? things seem to be coming together. there was that explosion at the harbor and people having theories about sabotage. looks like their boat explodes and they barely make it out of it.

I saw it. I loved Claire's clothes. So badass. Also, I think that scene is right after that explosion too, I think Lockwood guys betray them and something happens, they escape with the dinosaurs on boat  and Claire/Owen jump on water.


I just need to know how Daniella and Justice fits in all this. Were them on the island and left behind too or they are with Lockwood's team?

If they really are left in the island...Very evil move by Lockwood. But would be interesting. How they get away from there? And how Daniella and Justice fits too? Maybe they betray Owen and Claire first but are not evil and join them latter?

I agree with u guys that this scene must be after the explosion on the East Dock, either they were forced into the water by Lockwood's Men or they had to jump off the pier while Dinosaurs were rampaging & I wonder where Daniella, Justice & Ted's characters are too, who were on the island with them also, hmm...

P.S - Claire's new outfit for the island scenes is fantastic, very Sarah Harding-esque!

Love both Owen and Claire outfits, they're both great!
Didn't expect such a scene, so probably they are left alone on the island by Lockwood team or so... Curious that there are only Owen and Claire, with maybe Daniella betraying them? Also, the island at that moment might even be about to be destroyed by the volcano, so I guess they need to find a way out of the island as soon as they can.

Anyway, I see more synergy between Owen and Claire in those set of photos than in the entire JW movie lol That's a good thing.

It looks like Pratt has gained 15 or 20 pounds here. Makes me wonder if there's a subplot where he's gotten kind of lazy since JW.

I really like Owen and Claire's new attire the more neutral colours reminiscent of the human characters in The Lost World is a welcome change and I hope that Bayona's direction also helps to build on them as a believable duo, perhaps even a couple.

I wonder if Malcolm plays into the rescue of Claire and Owen. Perhaps he expects that Lockwood is not being truthful and organizes a plan B of sorts. It could be a nice role reversal for his character from The Lost World.

Yeah. Seems with Justice on the beach...Ted dies on the island I think personally and Daniella is one of the people to force them off the boat. And since they are not screaming and running, maybe they land on Sorna...that would give them time to worry about being rescued. (Land on Sorna after realizing they aren't going to save the dinosaurs)

Has anyone received any verifiable information that Sorna plays into the plot? I know Neomorph mentioned it but other than him, has anyone else heard anything?

I think the Cessna they filmed in England and Oahu is our heroes rescue after the sabotage. It explains them filming at the airstrip on Oahu. The England stuff would be them landing back in the mainland. I bet Malcolm has something to do with their rescue.

Interestingly, that's the same airstrip from JP3, so that could lend some credence to the theory of Claire and Owen being marooned on Sorna.

Some more observations:
- Bryce is absolutely radiant. The sheer amount of fun she's having reminds me of that publicity photo of Carrie Fisher on the beach in her cheesy Star Wars bikini.
- Bryce has an umbrella, either for sunburn or to keep from getting dry so she can film more takes.
- In photo 4, it looks like they're seeing something interesting.

Here's my guess: Owen and Claire are thrown to the waves (a la Sarah Harding in the novel). They keep swimming towards an island, which is why they look exhausted as they crawl. They get to their feet and share a nice little moment, happy to be alive. This is when they hold hands and keep walking. Then Owen sees something, which gets Claire to see it, too: a dinosaur. Then they realize they've washed up on Isla Sorna!

The beach scene could be as they arrive at the island. Just because they filmed this last doesn't necessarily mean they filmed one of the later scenes in the movie. Perhaps they get separated by the others when they arrive?
