Is it canon that both Benjamin and Charlotte were interested in human cloning?

We were told in FK that Hammond and Lockwood had a falling out because apparently Lockwood wanted his daughter back and so he eventually cloned her but Dominion proves that wrong.

Why did Hammond and Lockwood truly have their falling out?

At first before Dominion I took the falling out like this: Lockwood told Hammond that if his daughter died before he did he would bring her back and Hammond was against that.

But now we know Charlotte made Maisie and Lockwood took the blame.

Why did Hammond and Lockwood truly have their falling out? Was Lockwood interested in human cloning also a lie to protect Charlotte as Mills clearly didn't know the whole story?

It surely could be possible that Benjamin did had interested in human cloning, he may have never gotten around to it, but he saw the potential of bringing people back via cloning, which Hammond disagreed.

For all we know its possible that Charlotte used her father research when cloning herself

Maybe Lockwood did do research on human cloning and Charlotte used her father's research when cloning herself but if Lockwood did have research on human cloning why didn't he make a human clone?

If it had nothing to do with Charlotte but he still wanted to research human cloning, you would expect he would actually clone someone right?
