Well I've come here hoping this can be a new haven for us. RIP JPL, it's been like a home online for so long.

Will always remember JPL, always. I stayed there for more than 1 year, and had a great time. That was my escape room from reallity, from my life. I've made so many friends on JPL, I hope most of them come here too, so we can still continue to chat about the JP Universe together. It's been great.

Jurassic Park Legacy is a site I devoted a part of my life to. Not as much as Tyrannosaur did, but a devotion just the same. I became so involved, it affected my grades. I knew I had to step away a bit at that point. Now? Now I look back and see so much I enjoyed about the site... and i have no regrets. I loved going to comic con to promote the site. I loved fighting for what I believed in, I loved discussing every even miniscule plot point about the franchise... I loved it all. And I will be sad to see it go.

This will be all of us when we start going through the JPL archives when we have them all up.

As another archival purpose I have screencapped and complied the front page of the JPL message boards into one mega pic. It's really shifted at the very bottom with the usernames but they are still readable.

I wasn't a member as long as most people. Just a year and roughly 5 months or so. But I did like the site. I was hesitant to join since I was a lurker. Mainly because I wanted to see what people felt about the JW. Perhaps joining was an unconscious sign of being a born again Jurassic Park fan. I feel really bad for all the 'old timers'.
It sucks that it died, but at least we have the memories, this site, and each other. As long as we have those, then JPL will never die in our hearts.
Hopefully, this song-Hold Onto The Nights by Richard Marx-matches what I said above.

JPL will always be one of my favorite places on the Internet. It just won't be there anymore, but it will be in my memories.

I'll be seeing her off tonight for sure.
I'll always miss JPL. But the people and dedication are what made it special. I realize that our site is tiny now. But JPL existed from 2003-2016. It did not become great overnight. I believe that we will one day have another site just as big in time. Especially with two more films on the way!
Rip JPL but I believe the legacy can live on.

The dinosaurs went extinct and managed to inspire a blockbuster. By that logic, just because JPL is going extinct doesn't mean it can't go on further.

Well, onto the next part of work I suppose. Rebuilding. Got a lot of stuff archived and it needs to be reintroduced. No point in an ark that never opens again.
