I'd rather they do a movie version of "The Haunting", since the 1963 movie was an MGM release and the Netflix series, as great as it was, really had nothing to do with the original film/book.

I'm ambivalent about "The Conjuring" Universe - I liked the two main films, though "Annabelle: Creation" was okay, and the other two were horrible, so I'm not sure they should keep milking it to be honest.

Yes, except with a decent script (even though I have a soft spot for the 90's version, which supposedly had Spielberg involved)! The Netflix series from last Fall was great, but just took the title and some of the character names/lines of dialogue and otherwise had do with the original.

The Russos have a deal to remake movies from the MGM library, so it's a possibility!

I think the big thing with It: Chapter 2 that I was relieved to hear was the fact that he wasn't just a gigantic spider like he was in the original TV movie. The effect is done much better and it's got a more of an eldritch creature vibe while still holding onto some familiarity with it by using a spider like design. Honestly if he is an extra-dimensional entity or even something from beyond our solar system I think this was a good choice to make it with making it alien and other-worldly while holding onto some elements of familiarity. I'll probably catch both it and the first one when the second is released on video. I'll turn it into a marathon for sure or something.
