He may want to stay, but after JL bombed as hard as it did, and let's not pretend a lot of that was due to how it was because of how it was a sequel to a pair of VERY divisive movies-Man Of Steel and BvS-he might not have a choice but to accept the fact that people just don't want to see another MOS movie. JL simply bombed so hard, that it doomed any chance of the DCEU catching up with the MCU. Sorry, but blowing it all up and starting over after Wonder Woman 2 is needed.

I find it extremely suspicious to believe in the good faith of people who claim that its the DCEU that needs a reboot right when Marvel is up to 22 movies. And then talk about DCEU 'needing' to catch up to MCU. (When a Reboot would send it even FURTHER behind. From 8 movies (after WW2 to 0) I dont think DCEU is going anywhere. I believe in Aquaman. Shazam. Wonder Woman 84.  And Birds of Prey has a date too.

I have goof faith in those 4 movies...but only in the since that they will good movies. As of now, Wonder Woman is the only TRUE success-i.e being liked by critics, the GA, and fans while still being quite profitable-the DCEU has. A lot of people were turned off by MOS and even MORE people were burned worse by BvS. Suicide Squad was entertaining, but not really considered a good movie. JL may have been a respectable movie, but considering how it was supposed to be the DCEU's version of The Avengers, that was never good enough.

I wanted this to work. I grew up with the animated Batman and to a lesser extent, Superman shows. But given how the first two movies burned so many people and how JL bombed so hard, the DCEU can't rely on 4 movies to save it, no matter how good they are.

James Gunn is set to direct Suicide Squad 2 and Dave Bautista wants to join him.

Dave should really be Bane instead.

Let's see if the 2nd go around with a disgraced ex-MCU director/writer goes well. (Although right now it is showing he is only the writer)

If they are hoping for GOTG DC-edition they will probably be disappointed. Also Bautista....facepalm. He'd work better as Grundy than Bane IMO. But Disney isn't letting him out of that contract.

Not if he keeps acting up. At this point, he practically begging for Disney to fire him.

He is trying to get out from under his contract but if Disney hasn't done it yet then I don't think they will unless he does something that will kill his career. Drax is too well-received for Marvel to do away with him until after GOTG 3.

I figure they'll just talk Bautista into working through this last movie where they can write him out and his service to the House of Mouse is done.

I like to see this as more proof. We knew about Affleck since mid-2017. Cavill is far more recent.

Wonder Woman 1984 has been set back to summer 2020.

2019 is packed with superhero movies as is, so I think that this is a smart move.

Also yeah november would have put it too close to SW9 and Frozen 2. I think it moved because Marvel vacated a 2020 summer slot.

Aquaman is set for a record 94 million opening in China alone.
