It's now 58 dead and 515 wounded. The gunman was a 64 year old man. Which is surprising considering how most mass shooters in recent memory have been late-era teenagers or young adults.
UPDATE: Based on what we know so far, the killer doesn't match any known comparisons to mass shooters of the past other then being male. In other words, this guy is a blank. A total mystery.

My god. The evil won't end will it? So many people dead... and for what?
Saw several people jumping on this to try to get a ban on every gun, some people even using australias 'gun seizure' thing as a positive thing.
Although thats not the solution I feel. Americas gun culture is different from australis and I am certain that the criminals won't be giving up their guns even if the government tries to seize it all.
Honestly, at this point I might be all for that.
It won't work. America has been a gun culture country since its founding. It's not like Japan which had gun control not long after guns were introduced and thus, explains the lack of gun violence. Not only that, but long as the southern border is wide open, criminals can get buy their weapons from the drug cartels that basically run half of Mexico. Not only that, but with 3D printing starting to become more accessible to the public, people can just make their own guns. Are people going to ban 3D printers then? Good luck with that.

Here's an update on the Las Vegas shooter.
In public, he was verbally abusive to his girlfriend, had over 200 reports of suspicious activities and spent a lot of money at casinos. And according to his brother, he was also a multi-millionaire real estate investor.
Other then being a man and verbally abusing his girlfriend, none of what we know about this guy fits the generalization of a mass shooter. And even then, those two things that do fit can be attributed to so many people, that it dilutes whatever hints of him possibly doing this. This is so bizarre.

I suspect this one will remain a big mystery for a long time. If not forever.
My personal theory, maybe he lost a bunch of money gambling and was already pretty wacky so he wanted to take it out on someone? Idk. The thing that makes it weird though is how incredibly well planned it was. From the amount of guns, the cameras etc.

But that would only make sense if he gambled at least half his fortune away.

Not to scare anyone, but photos of the guys hotel room already leaked to Facebook. The guy shot himself and that was pretty obvious but yeah like for a guy with no training in guns to suddenly start shooting and hitting 600 ish people? I am left to wonder really bc the guys brother they interviewed said he never liked guns at all either.

I heard that he killed himself before the SWAT team showed up because he mistook the basic hotel security for the SWAT team. In any case, with so many firearms and so much ammo, you really don't need much accuracy with a semi-auto rifle to hurt/kill a lot of people. Even more so considering how he was shooting at a location that was so heavily dense with people.

This.
High vantage point with lots of view. A shit load of automatic weapons. A huge event going on right below you.
Unfortunately it was the perfect storm for a high body count.
Also his brother not knowing he was into guns doesn’t really mean much IMO. For one we don’t really know if he was into guns do we? As far as all his life. And even if he was for a long period of time you could easily hide it.
You’re right that it doesn’t make sense about the gambling but then again I think we can all agree that whatever was going through his head, didn’t make any sense. I hope the cops find a cause for this because IMO these people acting without cause is the scariest of all.

Scary new news about North Korea.
Not only dose the intelligence community say that North Korea now has 60 atomic weapons, but it also says that an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack would result in 90% of the American population dying off.
I guess that Godzilla 2014 via the MUTO's EMP blast was more of a warning then we thought.
And it's not like in the Cold War where the leaders and military higher ups of the Soviet Union knew how bad a nuclear war would be. Kim Jong Un has been a spoiled brat for all his life and doesn't value life at all. I don't think he's aware of how bad a war would be.

She's not a door-to-door salesman. The sale was approved by at least 20 different government organizations, including a Republican-led Congress.
As for the Dossier, if collusion between members of the Trump campaign (including his son) gets to be hand-waved as mere opposition research, then I don't get why this can't be the same.

Well then, shame on them too. Not only that, but Hillary had the power to say no, but didn't. Also, there's a difference between opposition research and a smear campaign, which Hillary is known for via throwing her husbands accusers under the bus.

I'm not saying they're blameless, but I am saying that Hillary had more power and influence and thus, she gets the lion's share of the blame.

So Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp has accused Kevin Spacey of making sexual advances on him when he was 14.
In addressing the situation, Kevin Spacey also came out as gay.
Totally not trying to deflect the allegations I'm sure.
I agree
As someone in the comments pointed out he says he doesn’t remember the encounter, but then goes onto say it would have been a drunken encounter. Either way it makes it sound like he might remember it, drunken or not imo. Which of course “might” be a sign that it definitely happened.
This is both good and bad. I’m glad all these people are getting busted but I’m not sure my heart can take learning some of my favorite actors are in on this stuff.
