The reality is not enough people remember or are aware of JP3 in order for it to confuse 99% of the ticket buying public.  It is just a non-issue for those people, and in turn, for Universal to worry about.  I would take Colin for his word when he said that the sequels are still canon, they just are largely unnecessary to the overall story of these new films.  It's no different than the relationship between the Star Wars prequels and the new trilogy of films.

I would still bet that Isla Sorna will be a part of the story in Fallen Kingdom and/or the next movie in the series.  It seems like too convenient of a plot device to simply leave on the table.  I mean it's the only other place on Earth with dinosaurs.

Im thinking Claire's Dinosaur Protection Group...Lockwood is probably the only group willing to provide them funding and resources to get back on the island. He tells them they have the resources to take the dinos to sorna, but he really wants the auction.

As much as we've seen, we also have seen so little. I wouldn't be surprised if there's new things we haven't seen yet in the trailer. There's a lot of talk about trailers showing everything these days, but I disagree. People think after a trailer they know everything, but they rarely do. Perception does not necessarily equal reality.

Honestly I was expecting all of those third act bits to show up in the full trailer come April/May. I'm amazed that we got a sneak at the Indoraptor and hints at Lucy's role.

I don't think Wu's gonna blow up.

I'm sure there's gonna be some exciting stuff in the trailer still. Though they're probably gonna show the Baryonyx scene, I'm guessing.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wu survives this entire movie. Again, we're all making assumptions as to what the plot is. Let's not get too worked up about plot just yet.

IF he dies in this movie, yes. I'm betting on Indoraptor too. I wouldn't mind, it would be very symbolic, to be honest.

But I read some rumors about Wu possibly surviving JW FK, and I don't doubt he can escape again. To be honest, I hope it's true, I don't want to see Wu dying in this movie. And if he survives, hell, I'll be the most annoying guy ever.

That's exactly what i took away from it. Maybe a bunker with a lab on the island blows up with the Volcano.

Here's the thing, the moment that Universal said/heavily implied that the one Spino skeleton Rexy destroyed was that of the JP3 Spino, any online canon sources were considered non-canon by the eyes of many fans. I don't think fans take it as canon, or at least semi-canon anymore. Even JP:TG was barely canon. Besides, they can say that those Pteranodon were a different breed made for the then new park.

Baryonx roar is similar to Spino. This could pave way for some interesting backstory.
