Not sure if this counts as news, but might as well post it here anyway.

Bryce Dallas Howard says she will be shooting on JW2 "Really Soon".

This just in from Jurassic Outpost.

Neal Scanlan’s ‘Star Wars Creature Shop’ team will head up the animatronics for JW2/JP5.

While I am very glad there is still an animatronic presence in this franchise, it's still sad that Legacy Effects (and by that extent Stan Winston's own legacy) appears to be backing out. Nobody complained about the few animatronics onscreen (except for a few idiots like CinemaSins), if anything the criticism reserved for visual effects was mostly focused on the extensive use of CGI. Why not combine Scanlan's Creature Shop with Winston's Legacy Effects?

As for me, I feel like I need to watch Silence of the Lambs and Heat again to prep me up for this!

Dodgson, he have Dodgson here...

Ted Levine is one of those actors that I just love seeing in things and wished he played in more things. So I'm happy about this casting choice and am curious on what kind of character he's playing.

I seriously hope he is playing Dodgson, that would absolutely make the film that much more anticipated for me. The fact that he looks like Cameron Thor reasonably aged up is a good sign.

I still think that either Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson) or Michael Moriarty (The Assistant DA from Law & Order) would be better choices to play Dodgson.

No Wu in Motherhfuckers cut him from the original draft for good. Less interested in it. My love for JP is bigger and I'll keep the hype for the dinosaurs. But sucks to have your favorite character out bc no one cares about. I'm sad.

I'm not so sure about that. Universal has had very tight security for this movie for some time. So it could be typical fake news.

Ted Levine's casting is some interesting news for sure. Not sure about him being Dodgson, although he may be an equivalent. I do think though that he may turn out to be a villain.

I also think that Toby and Ted will be villains in this movie, although that is just my gut feeling.

Also maybe Daniella but I'm not sure.

For some reason, I think Rafe Spall will be the father to "Lucy" we keep hearing about. He's British, he already played the scientist type in Prometheus. Toby Jones could turn out villainous, or he could be an Eddie Carr type of character. I just hope that the film doesn't become overloaded with villainous characters, since there still needs to be a believable dinosaur threat.

As for Dr Wu, I do think we will see him again, but for some reason any bit of news about him is being played down for secrecy's sake. I'd actually be more curious as to what that secret is if it's so big as to warrant hiding from any social media.

Hope you guys are right about the secrecy, guys. Anyway, hope one of these characters are relatable.

Regarding Wu, Frank Marshall all but confirmed him late last year. BD was I believe being coy on Twitter last year, he has a habit of being sarcastic on twitter at times. I think BD returning hasn't been announced since he signed on originally with Bryce & Chris back in 2015 but just wasn't in the press release. I also think his role is being kept somewhat a secret too. Maybe he only appears towards the end of this film so his role is small. Also remember Colin confirmed his return in JW, not any of the movie sites like Variety or the Hollywood Reporter so there is hope yet...

Plot twist, the movie sets up with characters it wants us to -think- are villains. But then sets up a secondary lead that the audience follows and initially helps our heroes. But then turns out that they are the real antagonists or something.

Just saying because JP, TLW, and JP3 didn't follow the same two protagonists for each of the three movies. JW2 and presumably JW3 will both have Owen and Claire and I don't think thats going to change... But yeah, .

You have a potential three act structure here.

1. JW, Dinosaur acceptance, fall of the park. Hoskins plan revealed.
2. Animal rights something? Maybe we get to see who was pulling Hoskins strings, setup the villain for JW3?
3. Main villain, final gambit, dinosaur threat escalates.

(Btw my money is on Daniella helping them at first then betraying them)

Doubt he is Dodgson to be honest. Hope I'm wrong. As for Wu I keep my hope down in seeing him again. I think I'll be very interested on the villains and really hope there's a scientist who puts science on a table and makes us think bc I'm tired of Owen's futile thinking and so on. I'm kinda butthurt by the way.

Expressing emotions through the keyboard is not my thing...I'll only say this was an unexpected casting, but neither did it shock me TBH. I can only see him being a bad guy, maybe it's wishful thinking or maybe it's because of the feelings that his role in Silence of the Lambs has caused in my mind after watch the movie for very first time.

well I am kind of peeved that Marshall didn't use that tweet to reveal a title. But it was pretty exciting, nonetheless.

Filming hasn't began just yet but will probably be within the next 2 weeks...

If Hoskins was working for somebody else, then it's going to be interesting who it is.

I've tended to imagine that Hoskins was a Biosyn double agent or mole, just like Nedry, and intentionally pitched the idea of the Indominus rex as a commercial viability to the Masrani Global board in order to knock them off the perch and enable the dinosaur cloning monopoly to spread out. One must also wonder, if that theory proves correct, how he convinced Wu to take part in this scheme and whether it was by coercion or persuasiveness.

It featured a T. rex and Brontosaurus hiding out in the Caribbean, and ended with a digger being used as a weapon against the T. rex. Not to say that every little object or poster in a producer's office is meant as a clue for the plot of an upcoming film, that would be looking too deep into it, but one must wonder: why does Frank have it up on his wall?

Yeah it was very obvious that the i-rex was a 'test' run for what he had planned in his little speech in the lab about mini indominus running everywhere and stegoceratops on that monitor. Yeah and don't forget that in that deleted scene Wu did say we won't always be the only ones able to clone a dinosaur.
