| I really hope they explore the "open source" idea of different people cloning various prehistoric species for assorted sketchy purposes. Trevorrow said JW2 would be about it going open source after JW1, and that didn't really turn out to the case.
I also hope they keep Maisie, Franklin and Zia around for the next one, and they don't end up wherever Barry and Lowery went to.

He confirms worldwide, open-source dinosaurs in JW3 like a lot of us have speculated.
He hints at legacy characters possibly returning (especially Ellie). Fingers crossed for Grant and Malcolm to make the full set! After Chris Pratt's recent tweet to Sam Neill I can actually see it happening.
He confirms that Wu is very important to the story going forward.
He confirms that Maisie will return (I never doubted this but have seen some that do).
He says that JW3 will be a very emotional movie which is great to hear. Maybe Rexy or Blue will die? Or possibly even one of the main human characters.

| I'm not sure about about Barry but at least he has actually worked with dinosaurs before. And Lowery absolutely yes, seriously why wouldnt Claire take him along considering that he could probably do all of the IT work and more importantly he actually worked at Jurassic World. Franklin had no place to go to the island being just scared the whole time and screaming for some cheap comic relief. He is among the most annoying characters in the franchise.
So yeah I would have enjoyed Barry and Lowery over Zia and Franklin any given day. | |

| I didn't actually hate Franklin nearly as much as I thought I would after watching the trailers. I'd be fine if both him and Zia returned for the third film.
That being said, I still prefer Lowery to both of them.

| Main reason I'd like to see Barry return is because it would give some opportunity for Owen's character to have some development, which he's currently lacking in. Trevorrow stated in an interview during the lead up to JW that he wanted to explore Owen and Barry's relationship across the trilogy, but apparently he wasn't in FK because Bayona didn't have a role for him.
Plus, his character is one who would actually make sense to return, since he has experience with the animals and is Owen's friend. | |

| It's not that it's a horrible movie, it's a really decent popcorn chomping action flick. It's just not the entry a lot of us would have preferred for the franchise. Hell, even the plot wasnt that horrible, it a just the execution didnt feel quite right for Jurassic Park.
