Kevin Feige suggests that their will be no Phrase 4 for the MCU.
I wonder what this means. That he will start all over again after Infinity War or GOTG Vol. 3, which will take place after this? Because that's my idea.

I just think it means it won't be organized around Avengers events and just less tightly knit in general. With the accepted notion that Iron Man and/or Cap are dying in these movies, the driving force behind this are effectively gone, plus Thor, Hulk and Black Widow have incredible service time too. The era appears to be ending and so phase 4 doesn't work. Likewise, the phases were just a nameplace for the Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet saga. As phase 1 only started circulating with the release of Avengers. Since it is ending with these movies, naturally phase 4 doesn't make sense in this regard too. THat's all.
They will still be connected and likely bookending with Avengers movies, they just won't be a direct continuation of the Thanos storyline nor will it have the same cast of characters. The MO will effectively be the same mostly.

It's going to be intersting where it goes from here. Not only that, but you also have the question of who will replace Thanos as the big bad of the MCU. Because unless Marvel gets the F4 rights back, and makes either Dr. Doom or makes Galactus as the new big bad (maybe make Galactus Thanos's father like they made Ego the biological father of Star Lord), I don't see how they can get away with making a new big bad without taking away Thanos's thunder. Even more so considering how much they built him up since 2012.

Dormammu had the potential but they took him away with Dr. Strange.
And Surtr too but he is in Ragnarok.
There are still a few powerful characters with the guys they still have but it won't be Thanos level. They could even do a Sinister Six thing from Spider-man. Or have Green Goblin lead it from behind the scenes.

Except that Sony gets the full rights back after the second Spider-Man movie in the MCU. Besides, the Green Goblin has been far too overexposed.

Sony has full rights still, and there is no rush by Marvel to produce a second solo movie anyway. These are all for Avengers. So has Joker but people still love it when it is good. Doctor Octopus works. Others can.

I perhaps they won't do the whole "building up to a big villain" thing at all. I'm pretty sure Feige said something about post I.W MCU films being smaller and more character focused.

It looks like Avengers 4 will have a main character die.
This looks like it's going to be big.
Also.
Filming for X-Men: Dark Phoenix has finished already.
That was quick.

If it is only one then I think Downey. He is getting harder and harder to get for these, no more independent Iron Man movies will ever come on down, Paltrow hates being Pepper and he has already groomed his protege to replace him in Spidey.
If it is more than one, then looking at Stark, War Machine/James Rhodes, and possibly Cap.

James Gunn clarifies Kevin Feige's comments by basically saying that Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 will basically semi-reboot the MCU.

Skeptical about Rogers because Evans has said he'd like to be back if they'd have him. His tone is much different from Downey who seems reluctant with each go. Maybe he won't be Captain America anymore, but Nomad or the Captain. I don't think Marvel is willing to let its top dog go after Iron Man goes if he wants to stay.
I guess that is a semi-reboot. Adam Warlock will replace Drax or Rocket on the Guardians. Unless the new movies focus on Ving Rhames, Michelle Yeoh and Stallone. Don't think people should be that shocked though. All the movies on the slate are movies with characters not named Thor, Iron Man or Captain America. They are just focusing on new people.
Someone said they might just not do a build up because these are smaller, character movies....every movie from Phase 1 bar IM2 was the same way, and like 95% of the heroes on the upcoming film roster are/were Avengers at one point: Stephen Strange, Black Panther, Scott Lang Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, etc. and that is not counting the other current Avengers likely to survive that don't currently have movies like James Barnes, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, etc. I don't know how they plan to use up barnes' movies, he still has like 4 to go, unless they do team up stuff.
I like the Black Panther music....let's hope another ex-Human Torch can save his career with MCU Marvel.

I think it would cheapen Logan a bit if it was made.

Logan is great specifically because it's MORE than a superhero movie. It doesn't follow the typical world ending shenanigans, and instead is built up mostly through emotion and dialogue.
