Okay, I'm sorry for the rant. I'm just angry/mad that they made Spinosaurus extinct. And I think it's got to do with the negative status it had.

So im curious now, as in what the status of Sorna is. They mention the eruption of Nublar will cause the dinos to go extinct again but...

Sickle, I’m assuming Sorna exists with a reduced population. The post on the site mentions them shipping animals between islands but I also think it’s not like it was since the post mentions throwing that ecosystem into chaos.

Although I am disappointed because Spinosaurus truly is an amazing animal. It just was misused heavily in the third film and blamed too much for the film's failure when the third's issue was the lack of a compelling story.

Everyone who pushed for that rematch, including the kid who spammed Trevorrow day in and day out with his petition is probably sending nasty worded letters to Universal as we speak, lol.

So according to the website the Mosasaur is still alive.

I doubt that's the case. That's what they wanted, Spino out of the franchise with no chance of coming back.

They must be actually laughing that Spino is dead.

I hope it get's clonned back for the next movie, or they bring a Carcharodontosaurid.

Oh, I think this will come handy if Rexy is relocated to Sorna. That means she won't end up facing Spino and no rematch will happen.

Sad to hear the Metris and Edmontosaurs got wiped out. I have a soft spot for the former, since my first large carnivore in Live the Legend was a Metri.

Yeah same here, lots of the dinos they mention as being extinct were Sorna dinos too I noticed.

Oh, just saw the full site (I'm using mobile) and they seem to have some conflicting info on our saurs and whether they're extinct again or not.

Glad the Dilo isn’t extinct. I would’ve REEE’d pretty hard. Carnivores being extinct makes sense. Herbivores? That’s confusing. Why would Styracosaurus eat shit but not the Pachyrhinosaurus? Why Edmontosaurus but not Parasauralophus? Why Mamenchisaurus but not Apato/Brachio? Why Euo but not Anky?

Carnivores going extinct makes more sense. The ones that can’t compete fall behind. I do question Herrerasaurus, as we seem to see it from a distance on the cliff. The DPG makes their extinction sound like it was the fault of humans, when really they probably just died off in their ecosystems. Pretty realistic for the DPG to be telling half-truths to promote their cause.

Yeah thats my question too. You would think that would be the obvious mission statement to make.

I wouldn’t be surprised if many of these thought to be extinct dinosaurs will actually be found on the island during the movie, like they only think they are extinct.

Us Dilophosaurus fans have gotten one 3 minute scene in one out of the four (and soon to be five) movies.

Alright, let's not start this. I think it's safe to say that we all want to see more of our favorite dinosaurs. Let's not turn it into a dino vs dino contest. Those rarely end well.

Besides, we still have no idea whether there's a dilophosaurus in this film or not. They could be leaving it as a surprise for all we know. Furthermore, we don't know for certain if the Spinosaurus is actually extinct for sure. And even if it is, these types of things can be retconned retroactively with ease.

So yeah, let's try not to get too upset or start anything.

It's not because your favorite didn't appear that I'm not allowed to say anything. I LOVE DILOPHOSAURUS. I still think it needs to be back.

But hey, at least your dinosaur isn't hated by everyone because of bad use in a movie. I'm all empathetic towards Dilophosaurus coming back, I don't know why you got angry with me. I wasn't saying anything about dilos or that they didn't deserve attention. I care for DILOS too. Let's all chill here.
