Subject: Africa - How Would It Work? Sun Jun 19, 2016 4:40 pm
While Africa appears to be an incredibly popular choice of location for fans to take a Jurassic mainland plot, it begs the question on how it could work sensibly?
I was thinking, perhaps a research facility in the heart of the Congo (for example) could shut/or have been shut and abandoned for sometime and the animals were released into the wild and that's why sightings have been spotted throughout the years?
Thoughts?

BioSyn relocates to Africa (having purchased the assets to Masrani Global in what could decide the fate of their company) and begins constructing facilities there immediately after purchasing the company. With Henry Wu leading their genetics department ("He's sending you and the assets to a secure location"), they pledge to "fix the wrongs of Jurassic World" by opening a safari preserve in the African savannah (as well as using the dinosaurs for...research purposes).

Most of Africa is poor and developing. Easy for a company to bribe its way into setting up facilities there and having free reign to do whatever. Africa also has or might have laxer laws and regulations making it a haven for corporations provided they could defend themselves from corporate warfare/bandits/whatever.
Africa would work for just about whatever. Also if the dinosaurs go all POTA in the future africa would be the perfect place to start that....if you ignore that big mother of a desert in the north blocking their way off the continent.

I can see if animals become loose on Africa...there is currently a bug poaching problem with poachers hunting rhinos and elephants to near extinction. Wonder how JP would handle poachers vs dinosaurs

The large and medium dinosaurs would live in the Congo since that is very hard for humans to have access to. That and it's still relatively untouched deforestation wise. The raptors would put up hard challenge for poachers if the get out in the plains via TLW. I could the raptors laying low if the poachers try and use helicopters, then once they land they the people get ripped to shreds.
