A cracked scientist aligns with the Axis of Evil to bring down the US of A with EMP blasts, toxic zombification gas and an unleashing of the ultimate undead killing monstrosity — the Z-REX. When a hot-wired militia squad and a crew of college hipsters are thrown together to do something about it, chaotic Predator-Thunder action runs amok.
I mean obviously it looks terrible and on bar with usual cheap Asylum trash that comes out in regular intervals, but the question is: is it genuinely bad, or made-to-be-bad? Because the genuine B-stuff is much more interesting.
B-Movie level stuff is usually bad in general, regardless of who's making it. We'll never get a movie on the level of bad that was Carnosaur, though FeelsBadMan.
There is a striking difference. Four different categories in B-films effectively
1) General movies that don't want to be bad, but end up being because of whatever factors, like budget and script and production issues etc 2) Nobody really cares about what they're making and it's just conveyor belt junk to make money. Cheap horror films for example 3) The incompetent director/producers/whoever has ego problems and thinks whatever trash he/she is making a masterpiece, ie can't see the woods from the trees (The Room, Miami Connection, Neil Breen movies etc) 4) Trash made up to be bad on purpose to get shiz & giggles from B-film audiences, and therefore extra cash revenue when it's announced to be earth shakingly terrible beforehand (Sharknado, Asylum films, Tommy Wiseau productions after The Room etc)

Miami Connection has a 70% or so RT rating after it's release. I think people see it as a (mostly) normal 1980's action movie then a B-movie. Very violent, somewhat crazy, but really fun all at the same time. Not only that, but in fairness, considering how Y.K. Kim never made a movie before, it's surprisingly well done all things considered.

People that love terrible movies obviously give them great ratings. Even Samurai Cop sits at 50% at RT even though it's obviously laughable trash by every normal standard. And Turkish Star Wars is at 70% too

Yeah, no.... not this one.
I'll just keep waiting for someone at Hollywood to wise up and make their own big budget dinosaur film, independent of the Jurassic franchise.

Yeah it's a pass.
I probably would watch a terrible dinosaur film made by Tommy Wiseau wannabe who clearly had no idea what he was doing and failed spectacularly at his 'vision', but I get a sense that this is either trash where nobody cares what they're making, or trash made to be trash on purpose.
And as for GOOD dinosaur movies, I can count them all with my two hands (well even one is sufficient enough for the actually good), so I'm not particularly hopeful of seeing another anytime soon.
