Jeff Fisher has been fired by the Rams and Rex Ryan is most likely going to join him soon or after the season ends.

The Cleveland Browns beat the San Diego Chargers 20-17 to break their winless streak.

This also means that the 2008 0-16 Detroit Lions are the only 0-16 football in the history of the NFL. I really feel happy for the Browns not because I'm a fan, but because I'm a Lions anti-fan: I.E. I root against them. Therefore, the fact that they remain the only 0-16 football team really makes me happy.

Three things I really follow these days

- Le Mans 24 Hours | The greatest sporting event on earth.
- IBSF Skeleton World Cup | Lot of fun in winter time. I tried watching bobsleigh too but it's more stale than skeleton sliding, and you have multiple people in it which I don't particularly care about.
- Netball World & Youth Cups | The more interesting sister of basketball. It's kind of hard sport to follow on web so I really just concentrate on the big events

After 56 years, the Chargers are moving to L.A and will be a tenet in the same stadium as the L.A. Rams.

The reason for the move is because the billionaire owner of the Chargers wanted San Diego to pay for a new stadium, or most of it anyway, but the voters voted it down. As they should have. A few days ago, the rest of the owners tried to bribe him off by giving him $300 million so that he can help build a new stadium. But the owner was too greedy so he decided to move to LA and have his team play in that of the Rams.

I don't think this will work. The ratings for the Rams were lukewarm at best and other then the Dodgers, Lakers, and I guess you can count USC, LA has never been much of a sports city. Having 1 NFL team might eventually work, but I don't see 2 in that city. If anything, the Chargers might have to move again in 5-10 years.

And all because a billionaire was too cheap to make his own stadium.

Los Angeles hasnt been much of a sports city? The Lakers? The Clippers? The Kings? They had the Raiders and the Rams in the 90s. Los Angeles is very much a sports town.

But here's the thing. Other then the Lakers and Dodgers, how many of those teams have had a winning culture and a long history. From what I've heard, other then those 2 teams, LA fans tend to be bandwagon fans, mainly because there is so much to do in LA that overrides sports teams.

There's a lot to do in New York as well but people dont stop supporting the Yankees and Mets because of it. A better example of a town that wouldnt be considered a sports town otherwise is a town like Portland or Columbus.

Except that the Yankees have a very rich history and that there is always hope for that team around America. And Ohio has enough sports cities that nobody would mind if the Blue Jacks moved to either Cincinnati or Cleveland. As for for Portland, I don't know what else it has other then the Trailblazers but I'm sure that the city supports them for the joy of having an NBA team in an odd location.

Tim Raines, Ivan Rodriguez and Jeff Bagwell are this years class for the 2017 MLB Hall of Fame.

Raiders were crazy successful in the 80s in LA.

Tim Raines is the only deserving one. Maybe Pudge because he was good defensively. Then again they put Mike Piazza in. 2017 is a weak class.

And the Writers can s***w themselves. Still not allowing a single unanimous choice. Griffey and Maddux deserved it.

Adrian Peterson is probably leaving the Vikings.

His talent did seem to be kind of wasted there.

The Vikings have an option on him for this coming year.

I doubt the Vikings exercise that. He is past 30, making a boatload and trading him would still penalize them. If they feel he can make them a playoff contender next year over any other free agent maybe...but....football isn't a running game anymore...at least not for now.

There are plenty of teams that rely heavily on the run game, and Minnesota is one of those teams due to the fact that they dont really have any other weapons on offense.

Rushing is down. Fact only 7 even reached 1000 last year proves the de-emphasis on that aspect. Off the top of my head only a handful of teams need a running back; the Bears (mainly because the brass idiotically traded an all-pro receiver and the current starting tight end for the New England Patriots--who lovingly refers to himself as a dinosaur lmao. OH and Jeffrey is on the way out it seems), Zeke Elliot (he only plays behind the best line and with Prescott having a season under his belt, Bryant and witten his value drops), Todd Gurley (Rams O is a travesty), and Demarco Murray (Wright fell off the face of the planet and their TE whose name escapes me is the only other weapon). Le'Veon Bell is an all-pro but he plays with Antonio Brown and Roethlisberger.


Vikings have a rising player in Stefon Diggs with 80 catches in 13 games of action and pro bowl caliber player in kyle rudolph. Add another receiver and the viking don't need Peterson. Asiata and McKinnon can do the job.


All this said, is Peterson worth quarterback money? No. He takes up too much cap, is too old and the league is moving away from him at this moment. (Actually just looked at his contract in the middle of this comment and they can dump or trade him like a sack of potatoes. All his guaranteed money is done and is only due a 6 mil roster bonus in two months besides his base salary. Which no one will pay for. No one is doing 18 mil for a 31 yr old running back with a decade on his plate)

It looks like the Raiders are trying to move to Las Vegas, Nevada.

I also believe that Nevada is going to have an NHL team in the near future, too.

NHL does indeed have a Vegas team, Golden Knights.

Raiders would be perfect for Vegas, but I disagree with the move. Way to spit on the Black Hole YET AGAIN.

It's going to be an uphill battle. The Pats defense stopped the Steelers when they were 4th & Goal twice. They only gave up the one touchdown when the Steelers had no hope to win. Atlanta has a great offense, but how good is their defense? Unless it steps up all of a sudden, I don't see how their defense can stop Tom Brady. I do see the Pats defense stopping/slowing down the Falcons offense just enough to prevent Atlanta getting a Super Bowl win.

Atlanta shut down both Seattle and Green Bay and they probably would of shut down Dallas too had Dallas advanced. New England can be beaten in the Super Bowl, just ask the Giants.

True, but the Giants had a far superior defense in both their victories the Atlanta does. Not only that, but the Seahawks weren't what they were a few years ago and Green Bay had a crappy secondary. That and Rogers may have had been thinking about his personal issues.

The Falcons defense is decent and they got the d coordinator that last coached Seattle when it was dominant as HC. But you never, ever bet against Bill Belichick. The Giants any given Sunday'd them twice but there is a reason they've gone 7 times and Belichick is arguably the best coach in history.
