The electric fence

Have any of you noticed that in the novel the description of the fence is described as chain link? So if you compare the novel to the movies fence, there's a difference! Also the fence seemed smaller in the book, so the T-Rex could have just stepped over it! It also seems the Raptors fence was the same! When the power was out the Raptors climbed over, so could the baby Rex do the same? Sorry if I got my facts wrong because I can't be bothered to go and get my JP novel .

I don't think the Rex stepped over the fence...He knocked it down. And the raptor fence, I wouldn't be surprised if they climbed out. Or even jumped out. And the baby Rex was too big to climb it. I think he actually tried to, and it fell over.

It would be hard for him to climb it with his tiny arms.

If I'm not mistaken the fence in the book, though it was chain link cyclone fencing was 12 feet tall. So the rex would have been able to look over it, but not step over it. Due to its height I doubt the baby rex could climb it, but it could probably knock it down given the chance.

Indeed. The fencing described almost conjures the idea of a prison yard, complete with high, chain link fencing.

In theory, the Rex might be able to just kick the fence down if it was smart enough...

But I think in the Novel it actually pulls the fence down. When they are stopped in the cars and the Rex is looking over the fence at the cars Grant notices the rex is actually holding onto the fence, which is their first indication of "ohh crap the fences aren't electrified"
