| Subject: How to make holes/transparency in dino skins "less ugly" Sun Aug 14, 2016 3:51 pm | |
| If you're familiar with MST, you're familiar with the dinosaur TML footer, right? - Code:
-
00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 02 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 03 00 02 00 04 00 00 00 05 00 00 00 You'll find that the 5th column of the footer, or the 5th value of each line of the footer, is either a 02 or a 03. Change them all to 03. This will make transparent parts of the dinosaur skins look better. Just try it out yourself if you have skins with transparent parts/holes/alpha channels - Screenshot by DPJWei/EchoGreen:
The 5th hex value in each footer line seems to control whether a dinosaur's skin is rendered only visible from the outside of the model, or visible from both inside and outside the model. If it's 02, the skin is only visible from the outside, and if it's 03, the skin is rendered visible from both sides of the "model wall". _______________ deviantART: http://spinoinwonderland.deviantart.com/ Blog: http://sauropodomorphlair.blogspot.com/ | Imgur: http://spinoinwonderland.imgur.com/ Models | Skins | Mesozoic Revolution | |
