Will we see Iguanodon be in JW2/JP5?

Subject: Will we see Iguanodon be in JW2/JP5? Wed Nov 09, 2016 6:06 pm

Since part of JW2/JP5 will take part in England? Does anybody besides me think that Iguanodon should be in the movie? The way I see it, since Iggy was so important in terms of paleontology, I really think it deserves a memorable spot in the movie.

My idea is to have it defeat an Allosaurus or fight off a pack of Velociraptors with its trademark spike thumbs.

The film is not taking place in England, it is only filming in the studios there according to Colin!

Depicting Iguanadon as a strong herbivore that can take carnivores head on with it's thumb-spike would be a nice change of pace from how the large hadrosaurs are portrayed in the series. In fact, I think we could do with more dangerous herbivores now that we're no longer in the theme park setting.

TBH, I still find it very, very odd that we never saw that with Triceratops as much as we should have. Yeah, there was that one scene in TLW when the adult was released, but other then that, one would think we should have seen more of that in the movie series given how iconic it is.

Agreed! Even Stegosaurus and Ankylosaurus got substantial action driven scenes in TLW and JW respectively.

yeah, herbivores need more love in the series--i'd love to see a scene with an iguanodon basically brawling with a similarly-sized theropod (i'd immediately say Carnotaurus, but that's too obvious Razz

) or even be deliberately oversized, maybe justified as being an alpha and therefore larger because of increased hormones or something, so that it takes on a rex, probably losing but putting up a good fight for about as long as the fight from JP/// or anky vs. Indominus
