The Forum Rules *Updated 05/29/18*

WELCOME TO JURASSIC MAINFRAME!

Listed below are our forum rules. These are the guidelines members of our site are expected to follow. For members just joining us or frequent faces, please spare a few moments to read and become familiar with our guidelines. Thank you!

THE FORUM RULES:

-Please do not double/triple post in a thread (two of your replies one after another). Glitches do happen in the system from time to time which results in a double post, but you are expected to delete the duplicate.

-Just like the Jurassic Park/World films, we strive to keep our site at a PG13 rating to broaden our audience to younger viewers. Do not post racist/sexual/graphic images on the boards. Discovery of such will result in an immediate banishment.

-Old or 'dead’ threads (threads that have not been updated in the last 3 months at the time of viewing) are allowed to be posted in as long as it contributes to the topic.

-Strive to keep your posts/threads/replies to at least two words. Posts like 'yeah’ and 'sure’ will be deleted. Buy a dictionary!

-If you post in a thread and nobody else replies to the thread in at least 24 hours (one day), you are allowed to post in the thread again. This does not count as a double-post and does not break the rules.

-Post involving pedophilia/sexual acts, drug abuse/creating, criminal activity, terrorism and others that violate laws are forbidden and posting them will result in a permanent IP banishment.

-Excessive trolling is not tolerated. Jokes here and there are always welcome (especially funny ones), but don't build your persona around it.

-Please remain on topic in the threads/posts. If it is worthy, feel free to create a separate thread to continue the discussion (or take it to PMs).

-If you feel your banishment/strike is unjust, you are more than welcome to contact a moderator/admin to have it reviewed. Do not whine if your appeal is rejected.

-If any issues arise with another member in the site, do not hesitate to contact a moderator/admin and we will happily work to resolve the problem.

-Do not post general advertisements on our forum. The exception to this rule is ads that relate to Jurassic Park/World (fan films, customs, fanfics, etc).

-Spam/hate threads, in any way or form, are not tolerated and will result in a ban.

-No hate speech (racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.). This includes strongly offensive humor.

And most importantly, have fun! Mainframe was created to host a safe, secure and inviting environment for all fans of Jurassic Park/World to enjoy. As long as you follow these guidelines, you'll do fine!

We have made a few changes to the rules. Nothing major, however, we are allowing for discussion of the T. Rex vs. Spinosaurus. However, if it gets out of hand, the topic will be banned again.

This is also a bump due to early discussion regarding certain things of a sexual nature. JP Portal is an all ages forum, and it is actually illegal for the posting of images, videos, and such for adults on a place where all ages can see. Whether regular user or staff, any further posts of this nature will not be tolerated.

In preparation for Fallen Kingdom, we have updated our rules. Not a whole lot has been changed, but it doesn't hurt to have a refresher!

Updated the rules again. Changed the Strike system description to be up-to-date, and added a new clause regarding hate speech.
