The Rep System *UPDATED 2/15*

If you guys are logging on tonight and noticing that your points and the ability to rep someone is now gone, that's because due to the system being abused over the last few weeks, I've decided to disable it for the time being. However, when it does come back, it will have significant changes implemented that will ensure that this doesnt cause any potential conflicts in the future. Any questions, feel free to PM any one of the staff.

Starting today, the rep and point system will be turned back on, on a trial basis. The maximum amount of votes you can give a day is 4, and there is a delay of an hour inbetween being able to up or down vote someone...this is to ensure the system will not be abused again, and if for some reason the system IS abused again, it will be shut down permanently. I'm trusting you guys not to let your emotions get the best of you when it comes to debates and the like and needing to push that downvote button.

I've noticed something named Points one below the posting stats. I take it's to keep track of how many likes and dislikes somebody has given total?

The points are for posts.

The rep system is simliar to Twitter in that it gives you a point for each like you gain in the post.

Yes, but how it works? I mean, when is allowed for a person to upvote or downvote someone?

You can upvote or downvote anyone at any time, but I have it set to a limited amount of times because people abused it in the past.

Oh thanks, then I don't understand why Rhedosaur is angry that someone downvoted him and guessed it was me. 


See Rhedosaurus, people aren't forbiden to give upvotes or downvotes on your posts, but as I said, you shouldn't be angry over this stuff. 

IS there a way to know which of our posts have been repped? Besides checking one by one.

As far as I can tell, no. The only way to know is if you see it on the posts themselves.

This is the reminder that if the system continues to be abused because a post doesnt agree with someone else's ideas....its going to be removed. It was taken down once before because of that garbage, I will not hesitate to do it again.
