If you look at the HD frame by frame the Stego is trampling a log.

There is, however, a mystery dino in there. My money is that it's the Baryonyx again. I don't see any reason for them to include two dinosaurs that are nearly identical. It'd be like having Tarbosaurus and T. rex in the same movie.

I still doubt it's a flashback. They just put the line with the scene to make you guys think it's one.

There is more evidence to suggest it is a flashback. Found footage style camera, voice over, the fact that they're having Owen reunite with Blue so they want more emotional depth to the reunion scene etc. I'm very confident that it is a flashback.

It won't really be a true flashback. It's going to be a video that people in the present day are watching. Probably at the courtroom or hearing scene with Malcolm. A flashback is where the timeline of the film literally jumps to the past and then later reconnects with the present tense. Think of the tv show Lost.

I think everyone knows that it's gonna be a found footage scene and not an actual flashback. Flashback is just easier to say.

The wardrobe being the same actually makes sense now. I bet Owen wore the same outfit every time he worked with Blue as an infant, in order to more easily imprint on her. He wears that outfit to the rescue mission so she will more easily identify him.

In real life, T. rexes lived and hunted in family packs. Think of the T. rex family in TLW, but with one teenager in the family. That's not to say that lone wolves didn't exist, but they were more uncommon then what we thought from the mid-1900s' until the mid 1990's.

Rexy is on Nublar with no other alpha predators-except the Mosasaurus, but Rexy is smart enough to avoid the Mosasaurus Lagoon-to fight against. So being the alpha land predator on the island by default is a semi-anomaly.
