We got to hear michael's music on the 23rd May last time. Hopefully we get to hear Fallen Kingdom's soon!
I don’t really like most of his work(although some of it’s fantastic) but totally!
I’m really excited and anxious to hear what he’s cooked up.
I predict we will get 1 or 2 tracks maximum that are “fun” and adventure like, with the rest sounding very ominous or scary.
And I’m looking forward to seeing the puns he comes up with.
I am sooooo excited to hear it, personally. I loved the Jurassic world soundtrack. It somehow felt I knew the music my whole life rather than just three years. Had a sense of nostalgia without completely recycling themes. Hope we get to hear some music from the film soon, the wait is killing me! Plus, shouldn't we be hearing about the track list soon?

Its one person on Instagram who keeps posting new and unseen footage before the tv spots and trailers. He calls himself mr.kennedy89. How the hell can he do that?

I'm wondering the same. He's currently the source for all my footage. And it's all high quality. I think he works somewhere where has access to TV spots that have not been aired.

Looks like the first 5-10 minutes of Fallen Kingdom was shown to another group of people. Getting more rave reviews.
From what I can understand, it was shown before the jurassic park showing at the JP 25 event at universal.

It feels odd to look at this board. Less than a month for some users and a bit more for USA.
It feels odd and somewhat sad because there’s not really much news or anything to SPECULATE on since it’s all coming to the head. I remember feeling like this on JPL in those final weeks.
It’s gonna be a long three years guys.

John Schwartzman, who did the cinematography for Jurassic world, will be back as cinematographer for Jurassic World 3, replacing Oscar Faura, who was the cinematographer for Fallen Kingdom.

Downgrade. Hate to say it, but JW3 has yet to get me confident. Everything about JW:FK looks amazing, going from that to JW3 seems like a big downgrade.

Agreed. The cinematography in Fallen Kingdom looks absolutely incredible. We've already gotten more shots that I'd consider to be "iconic" in the trailers than Jurassic World had in it's entirety (although some of that is undoubtedly due to the improved CGI).
Other than the fact there won't be any hybrids in Jurassic World 3, nothing I'm hearing so far is giving me the high hopes I have for Fallen Kingdom. I'm not discounting that Trevorrow and co could surprise us and pull off something great, but I don't have a ton of faith right now.
Fallen Kingdom might be our last chance at a truly great Jurassic Park film for a long time.

As a huge Jurassic Park fan who’s most anticipated movie is Falken kingdom, I currently feel sick when I think about who is in charge of JW3.
I know I don’t represent everyone, but this is not a good decision at all in my eyes. It seems we are going back rather than forward. And no matter how good FK is I know that we are going back to a director that hasn’t proven himself (imo) and a generic cinematographer.
I’m not a huge fan of Bayona by any means but the man had the experience! I want someone with a great track record finishing the series.
Go watch book of Henry, and I think you’ll understand why I’m scared. Also the cinematography shown so far in FK feels so much more appropriate and subdued. JW looks ugly by comparison imo.

In all honesty we should not even be worrying about JW3 at this point. This is the pitfall of poison that befalls every fandom. Worrying too much too far ahead. Opinions are already forming on something we have no context or content. Our 100% attention should be on FK and then worry about JW3. Obviously we have minor details and an idea of what JW3 with the no Hybrids and Rexy Lion standoff in the FK trailers, but I think the attention is misguided.

Agreed.
Right now, I am super hyped about Fallen Kingdom, it takes me back to when I was a pre-schooler, and The Lost World had came out. (Jurassic World was my first JP film I got to see in theaters, but I do remember The Lost World merchandise in stores. My first JP toys were Dieter Stark with the Compy, and a TLW Velociraptor.)
The one thing that Fallen Kingdom really reminds me of, is the Nublar scenes remind me of a TLW aesthetic (in terms of the characters' clothing, especially Claire, Ken Wheatley, and his mercenaries), and the convoy of military vehicles and cages, while the Lockwood Manor sequences give me a Resident Evil/Dino Crisis vibe, which I have not seen anyone else make that comparison.

Even though I am still not into Fallen Kingdom for the many reasons we have talked about before...
I am not going to lie, I find that whole Rexy facing a Lion thing in particular very very interesting. It was a "Why did they tale that long to do that" type of moment. Something I have wondered as a kid if it would ever happen in a Jurassic film. It is a perfect way to show how the effects of trying to alter nature in a both realistic and fun way.
It is In my opinion the most interesting thing about the Jurassic World films. Just imagine a Lion pride VS a raptor pack or something like that. That would be awesome.

Anyone else see the new behind the scenes video today? new footage featuring stiggy and a battle between two species that I did not think was going to happen. The effects and color tint look much better in the scene that was previously my least favorite part of all the trailers (the dinos running towards the cliff when the dust behind them)

Yeah I'm not overall jazzed about Schwartzman coming back, I thought his cinematography on JW was just okay, definitely could have been better, but nothing like the atmospheric cinematography of the first trilogy and JW: Fallen Kingdom. In fact, I was hoping that Colin's brief commercial directing stint with Larry Fong was a sign that he had signed on to shoot JW3, and I would have liked the changeup.
If nothing else, I hope Schwartzman changes up the colour palette and framing of the film, and say what you will about The Book of Henry it did look more 'filmic' in that old fashioned sense than Jurassic World did. I just think its too soon to react with worry or dread at this point.

That's a pretty fun video, you can see the actors' performances being enhanced by the presence of the animatronic T. rex and Raptor.
Also, could you find this Jurassic Outpost article claiming that every animatronic would be replaced with CGI?
I know there was a brief scare involving a tranquilized T. rex shot, and the replacement CGI shots from a TV spot was abysmal and looked much worse than the animatronic shots. People tweeted at Colin about this, he said that the animatronic shots as seen in the trailers was the one used in the movie. I don't think replacing the practical shots is outside the realm of possibility, but if it wasn't clear by the miserable failure of The Thing (2011) that everyone from the effects technicians to the director and producers stand to lose big time if they're not honest about the use of practical effects.

I really doubt every animatronic will be replaced. They'll add CGI onto some, but not fully replace. Anyone else think the CGI for the Carnotaurus is War for the Planet of the Apes level awesome or is it just me? Looks like it's physically there.

I understand your point. But I feel like you might not understand why we would worry about JW3. It’s not to cause drama. It’s that FK will probably be really good and set up a JP movie the likes of which has never been done before. Very different.
So I feel like we are sailing into uncharted waters with a rather inexperienced director to close out the series and that he might not do it justice. Assuming it’s really the end of the end and no more islands, sequels etc. So it could be the last JP movie in this universe ever.
Especially with Colin getting fired from SW, it makes you wonder what the original plans were.... idk i don’t have high hopes.

Colin was booted out because his plans called for Snoke and Luke to live, which were part of the original plan that JJ Abrams made. Rian Johnson talked KK into allowing him to throw it out and thus, since their was no room for Trevorrow, he got the boot.

Nevermind - I remembered incorrectly. Seems like they're saying the indoraptor alone will be all CGI:

While the Indoraptor animatronic emulates the classic Jurassic style more, it seems it will be entirely replaced with CG in the final film, though the CG certainly is phenomenal and greatly benefited from the animatronic as its reference.
