This Thread is for All Raptor sounds and our best guess as to what they mean. Admittedly, many are just general sounds of aggression, and many have the same meaning as others.
This Video will be used as reference. Purring: Seemingly just a noise they constantly make, perhaps caused by a stuffy nose. Purring2: Seemingly just a noise they constantly make, perhaps caused by a stuffy nose. a low moan can be heard as well. Chittering: ? Chittering2: ? Claw Tapping: Equivalent to human clapping, an outlet for excess energy(?) Growl: possibly an alert to let pack members know that prey is near. Growl2: ? Growl3: "Stay away!" this is the loudest growl raptors can make, but only the raptor squad seems to use this. Screech: Perhaps used to alert other pack members that it's time to begin attacking. Screech2: Perhaps used to alert other pack members that it's time to begin attacking. Screech3: Perhaps used to alert other pack members that it's time to begin attacking. Screech4: Perhaps used to alert other pack members that it's time to begin attacking. Screech5: Perhaps used to alert other pack members that it's time to begin attacking. Terrier: low growl mumbled when excited/attacking. Terrier2: low growl mumbled when excited/attacking. Help: Need I explain? Hiss: Generally used to intimidate potential threats. A warning perhaps. Hiss2: Generally used to intimidate potential threats. A warning perhaps. Babbling: Potentially a loosely structured language? Very unlikely. Call: "Come Here!" "Hello!" Seems to be used for drawing attention to themselves. Scream: ? Scream2: ? Scream3: ? Scream4: ? Scream5: ? Scream6: ? Scream7: ? Chuffing: ? Chuffing2: ? Chuffing3: ? Quacking: ? Cry: ? Cry2: ? Cry3: ? Huffing: Heavy breathing, panting. Probably trying to pick up a prey item's scent. Elephant: ?

We also know that the bark basically means "Hey, over here!"
Raptors always use the bark when they want the other raptors to pay attention to them, like when they're calling them to join in a mission or if they want to lead them somewhere. Also epically used by Blue at iRex.

I honestly like how rarely the cawing is used in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. In Jurassic Park III, it was used way too much. But then again, these are animals and not actors....unless you consider them to be actors. haha

I can imagine real raptors making sounds like these. After all, they can't talk using words like people can, so they would probably have used a number of different sounds to communicate with their pack-mates. With some of the sounds they make in the movie, it's a bit difficult to figure out what the raptors are saying, but with others it's damn obvious. Like when Hoskins is in the raptor's enclosure and he touches Delta. She lets out an incredible growl which basically says "Stay away! I don't like you and, given the opportunity, I'll rip your head off."
